No, this is not a troll. No, I did not say that it is not a troll to make it not look like a troll. The end is near... As much as we all don't want to believe it, the signs have been pointing to one thing, and one thing only- the end of Maple as we know it. Your all thinking that I'm being stupid right about... now. Am I correct? Well, then you'll be wondering... "whats he talking about?" and I'll explain if you decide to keep reading further. Despite the fact that there has been no official announcement of Nexon shutting down GMS, the signs are all over the place. Why is it that Nexon decided to release a patch with the Potential, Enhancement, and Dual Bladers at once? Whats the one thing Nexon cares about the most? $$! How better to make it then release a patch that requires players to buy their skills? Simple answer, by releasing two new scrolling system that will bomb the living poop out of some of the godliest equips GMS has. What does one do when they blow up their godliest equip? 1- rage quit 2- buy nx to make another In the cases where the players choose option 1, Nexon loses, but comon, lets be real here. GMS is full of greedy people such as myself and the only thing we want is heavenly equips. Yeah, not just godly equips, it has to be HEAVENLY. So you're wondering, "what...?" and it's very simple, Nexon is making $$. Onto the next point, I'm sure everyone is aware of the hellbans that were issued to every player who were in possession of exploited mesos. I was one of those players. No, I did not myself exploit mesos in anyway, I simply had a mushie up and someone bought everything. Me and 98% of the hellbanned population had no direct connection to the exploit and yet we were forced to suffer for two full weeks. Now the big question is, why? Why make it harder for the players if your just going to remove their funds and leave them with 10k on the account? Why is it that thousands of others like myself got our mesos deleted? And even bigger question then that, what is this "compensation" Nexon speaks of? Heres the truth behind this hellban academic. Nexon hellbanned people in possession of exploited mesos for the better of the economy to avoid inflation. They also realized that they're hurting innocent players and merchants who did nothing wrong so after the first week, they gave everyone maple points as a "compensation". It doesn't add up because the fact is, people were still hellbanned for another week after gettin the maple points. It makes no sense to give someone "compensation" that doesn't even compare to the amount the lost. It makes even less sense to give "compensation" and continue to hellban them. It's like saying "O hey! I stole your car but here, I feel bad, have the keys back but I'm gunna go ahead and keep the car." So what was the REAL "compansation"? Duping glitch in the last patch. The patch last Wednesday removed all hellbanned player's mesos and left them with 10k mesos. Not only that, it seems that Nexon secretly co

Potential equips with enhancement scrolls were released to help fix the economy. All the godly duped items are worthless now that there are things 10x better. The duping is and always will be an on going event. There will always be people who believe its in their best interest to be the best on a video game by any means. Cheating, stealing, scamming, whatever it takes. If you think about it, everything in maple has to increase, they release new strong monsters, different pq's, maps whatever. Weapons can't always stay the same. it works the same way as the world. If apple only released the ipod that coudlnt do anything but handle music, how worthless would it be in so many years? Do not get me wrong, i totally disagree with potential and rare/epic items all this bull crap. Like, i worked so hard to make meso, buy these things i thought were good, now after a patch you're telling my 150m 10dex single earrings are worth what? same goes for everything else thats been scrolled. This whole patch is directed at fixing the economy. Hence the increased drop rate of equipment. Duped items will be worthless after so long and people will be paying big bucks for the new godly items. With So much more potential to get things tahts unimaginable to the human mind, There will be even more godly items than a 6atk 6dex FS. Or perfectly scrolled weapons. It does suck for everybody who has worked hard for their meso and bought something "top of the line" at the time. But like i said earlier, its inevitable to have something for so long before it gets old and worthless. Cant have a 2000gateway computer and since you paid $2000 in 1999, you can't expect it to stay being worth $2k. haha. Maple is changing, maple will change. This game has been becoming a pay to play, but the game still remains free, yea you might not be the godliest or most elite damage whore if you choose not to pay. But yea its free. and until they start charging to log onto the game, then really i cant complain. This game to me is just something to do when im bored and want to waste time. Nexon is a smart company, Yea the CS sucks, yea the game is getting retardedly stupid, and yes, more and more kids are getting introduced to it and having their parents spend tons of cash. Unless the world changed, and money didnt matter, there will never be any company that doesnt want to make money. I have bought 0 cubes. I have never spent 1 cent on this game. and i will continue to play and have FUN whether a level 50 DB can outdamage my 80dexless sin. /end rant.

[/quote] you are correct on a lot of points, but the part you missed is that one of the richest player in Windia is rich because of the dupe. Not because he duped equips, but because he duped equips and sold them fast for cheap and he also duped chairs. Chairs are not affect by this patch in terms of price because you can't blow up a chair... or last time I checked you can't.

I personally don't think Nexon is hurting that badly. MS is easily their most popular game, and they're /still/ releasing other MMOs. Nexon is just money whoring, from what I see it. The result of this money whoring is a screwed up game economy. They're still applying huge patches, too. Three years ago, three new classes, loads of new maps, and loads of new PQs within a year was an UNFATHOMABLE idea. I still remember the nerdgasms when 4th job was announced. Why would Nexon be pooling so many resources into a game they thought was going to die? Big Bang is coming soon, it's going to be the biggest change Maple has ever undergone. If anything, the signs I see are that Nexon is doing TOO well and has stopped caring for the community. They knows that there will still be countless players to unload ridiculous amounts of cash for NX as long as they keep up with quality updates. But even so, that's a questionable notion too. The new potential stuff was probably intended to balance the monopolization of "heavenly" equips. Just because people were dumb enough to destroy their best equipment doesn't mean Nexon is at fault. And Big Bang will balance out ALL the classes, or attempt to. Saying that Nexon doesn't care for the community is questionable, as previously stated. The only thing that's not up in the air, in my opinion, is whether or not Maple will live. Nexon is pooling too many resources into this game for them to think it'll die in the near future. The fact that their other games are also undergoing constant updates, and new games being added once in a while (that once in a while is actually pretty frequent for any MMO company, compare Nexon's number of games to any other company's), equates to Nexon not hurting that badly, or not at all. If Nexon isn't hurting, they won't pull punches. If they have no reason to pull punches, they're not going to jeopardize their most popular game, and quite possible the world's most popular MMO.
