I read in some guide that completing it (and it only takes like 15 min i think) gives like 300k exp for levels 50-70 0_o So why is it so unpopular?
BluntyMsPage : luls my page back from 50-70, and my bro and a slinger friend would do our 7 every day, with no deaths and none going unfinished. its in no way shape or form hard to complete, you just cant be dumb EDIT: all you need is 6 people and a person that can subtract a minute from the time. and you have your 7 finishes a day... if your having trouble and dying via reflects you need to learn how to subtract a minute, and type "slow"
subtract a minute? care to explain? o_O
BluntyMsPage : except the fact that ppq is crap and bpq is amazing 1above its really not that big of a pot burn for the amount of exp your getting and if your getting 1/1'd your doing it wrong. try jumping into the hand or oh idk... moving away from the warning the boss gives...
ppq is less popular than bpq is what i meant to say.

It sucks cause I can't boss right now (Due to computer issues). My screen freezes every few seconds when I'm soloing a regular map... When I'm bossing, it freezes for a longer duration and I'm dead when the screen unfreezes... That's what I get for using a computer I bought like 4 years ago for $220..
gkdmstjr : subtract a minute? care to explain? o_O
id love to! when balrog uses his damage reflect, you take the time he uses it and subtract a minute from the timer, thats the time his next one will cast give or take like 10 seconds so just stop early for example Balrog casts reflect, time is 12:34. subtract a minute thats 11:34. say 11:34 so people know. stop at around 11:39 so people don't die from trying to go right up to the end of the time lil92 k sorry wasn't sure what you meant, your 100% right xD

There is of course obvious solutions in finding a good party to win. One time I failed 3 times in a row because people werent ready and people were complaining. The next day we won 5 times in a row. 1. If your high level ( 65-7x ) find a party that are mainly 60+ 2. Timers are confirmation of dmg reflect, but you can always find the time yourself. Its not hard to time. 3. As a melee char at the hands, stay into the hand so you'll take that dmg instead of the 1/1 attack. A constant hit, but a high chance of not getting hit from the 1/1 attack. 4. Everyone in the exp. should have a good attitude. Someone who doesnt respect and follow people's instructions will most likely kill themselves and have some downsides towards everybody (thought of not killing the balrog) 5. low 5x shouldnt do BPQ, as they'll limit parties ability to get stronger people. no offense. 6. In this PQ; your party>exp>time>potions. A good strong party can kill the balrog in 6-7 mins. ( our record )

k5Bad parties and sometimes his damage reflect animation makes people d/c randomly. I drop by every now and then on my NW and try but usually you get stuck with people who can't read the words "slow/stop" then they die and go "lol i wuznt paying attenshin xD xD XDXD!".

Well, I guess I might wanna give it a try then. Just to see what people are so upset about. I mean, he HAS to be hard right? Going by what the stories about him say...he had better be one he-- of a boss to beat.

Even with a party of 6 70s, if they dont understand the way to beat the balrog, they'll mind as well just lose.
gkdmstjr : subtract a minute? care to explain? o_O
When the hp bar reaches to the letter "I" (some choose "m" or "t") of Time Left in the timer, the timer starts to say 'slow' to warn the party to not attack continuously. Then the moment the balrog casts DR (striped yellow-red on the horns), the timer and some party members say 'stop', looks at the time, and subtracts it by a minute. Ex: Balrog's first DR starts at 8:34, the timer will say 7:29~33. Have fun timing, hope it helps! ^^
no i understand =O i'm just saying like its a terrible mindset to say -60's are a waste of space in a party seeing as you can get +60's maybe i had incredible luck finding people for parties training only VIA BPQ from lvl 50-70 doing 7 pq's a day >.>
Mortal920 : Because if your a melee class like me, then you die every time Balrog uses the 1/1 attack by taking touch damage before the game registers that u used a power elixir.
its not that hard to avoid and as a brawler i do pretty well in the pq and i have only done it twice... because the party i were in weren't the best D:
