Always buy scrolls one by one

I learned that today the hard way. I was getting bored of this game to begin with, so I decided to spend most of my money scrolling a shield. Because of this new patch, I lost so much money from selling equips, and I realized how much I'm starting to get annoyed by this game. Anyway, I scrolled a Maple Shield with Shield Magic ATT 70%. The first shield broke on the 2nd slot. I still had 500M to spend, so I decided to do another. As I kept scrolling, I realized that every scroll worked, and it could potentially be 20 Magic ATT. I got it to 14 Magic Att 3 slots, and of course I would find a shop with 3 overpriced scrolls. I bought all three scrolls, and worked the first two. If I sold it as it was, 18 Magic ATT 1 slot U/H, it would have gone for 1.5~1.7B I would have sold it too, I'm always too afraid to finish things with 70%s. The thing was, I didn't realize the stats because I wasn't thinking, I used all three scrolls within five seconds. Of course it broke on the last slot, which WOULD happen to me with my luck. A 15% chance of breaking happens on an item worth 1.5B+ I've broken many good items in the past, but this is hands down the WORST loss I've ever had from breaking an item. I always buy scrolls one by one, because I would never find a bunch of them at once. If I checked the stats I would have sold it, but I didn't realize it was 18 Magic ATT until I saw the purple glow, but I saw it a split second before I clicked to use the scroll. FML

People hate buying unfinished things anyway, because then they have to scroll it. If I had enough meso which I didn't this time, I would have 60%ed. I was too in the moment of scrolling, to realize the stats lol

Your title makes no sense at all, are you perhaps not thinking straight? If you got it to the last slot, that means it was the right thing to do. Now on the other hand, if you broke it on the FIRST scroll out of those 3, and had 2 left when it broke, THEN your title makes sense.

[/quote] Well if I bought one by one, this wouldn't have happened. Since I bought all three, I just used them all. It might be hard to understand, but I usually look at the stats after each scroll.

I feel you. I blew up my stonetooth yesterday with a potential scroll. It wasn't an accident or anything, just annoying when you use a scroll that statistically has a low chance to break your item, and of course it always does

...It makes no difference. You still got it to the last scroll before it broke. Probability is probability, buying the scrolls one at a time won't change ANYTHING.

[/quote] Yes I know, that the statistics are the same, but I wouldn't have scrolled the last slot if I realized there was one slot left. I didn't realize what the stats were, I was just mindlessly scrolling.

[/quote] I'm not sure why you want to keep proving me wrong, but you wouldn't understand it unless you were me. To make you happy, when I have one scroll in my inventory and I use it, I have time to think about scrolling it again because I would have to look for another scroll. In this case, I had half a second to think. Either way, breaking the shield was completely my fault. I was not being greedy, I just wasn't thinking

It's because you ARE wrong. Let me get this straight, buying 3 scrolls at the same time, and buying one by one affect the scrolling probability of the shield? Let's say you bought ONE first, and it was 7/14 3 slots left. What if you blew it up for the first scroll? Yeah, then your title would make sense. From what you're saying, if you bought one by one, and got it to 9/18 and 1 slot left, you would sell it as is, or 60% it. No one forced you to use the last scroll on the last slot. You decided to use all 3 at the same time, idk, maybe you closed your eyes. Buying them one at a time has nothing to do with it.
