So there was a aligator at my house.

To start it was on a road, and then for some reason it ran into some bushes in my front yard. So my neighbor who was happening to pass by saw it and tried to get the alligator from the bushes. So he gets it and is holding it by the tail where it then flips up and bites his hand. So he then puts a towel over it's head and has his foot on it's neck. My dad then brought over a garbage can, and we put it into the creek near by. To clarify, my neighbor did get a small bit, he is going to or at the hospital right now. No it was not a big alligator either, just three feet at max.

i hear they're pretty common, so common i even saw a show; kind of doco with guys who catch alligators and other animals in your american homes

This is pretty common in Florida. Living there myself I can also testify to that. I've had a gator under my car in the driveway before, and also one that came out of the lake near our school and ended up walking down the school hallways - we had to stay in our classrooms for an extra two hours until the trappers finally showed up and noose'd it.
