Why is Maplestory lagging so much?

Ever since the release of the Dual Blades patch, i've noticed a huge increase in the lag that i'm getting. Before the patch, Maplestory worked perfectly fine for me though o.o Is it because of the increase in new Dual Blade characters?

I dont think it's the Dual Blades, i believe that its something with the patch. Starting it up takes twice as long, and there are lots of lag spikes; this never happened when aran or evan came.

I gave up trying to get to Windraiders. I get lag spikes and the totem pole starts teleporting O_O

Only problem I have in Bera is sudden spike in lag that'll ruin maybe one jump or attack. Although it is happening more frequently, I attribute it to the DBs. Seems like there's WAY more DBs than Arans when they came out (and idk about Evans since I wasn't playing at the time of their release)

What kind of lag are you talking about? The only thing I've been experiencing is my screen freezes slightly when I move too fast. It doesn't usually do that.
