Our Struggle: Why we CANNOT quit MS

We can all conclude that these past few days it had been disaster. Roll backs, glitches, hackers, anything we can think of, it happened in some ways. Not only that arises but we also have mobs and mobs of angry players complaining to Nexon and telling them to change stuff. Other than that, we have the other group addressing us to just quit if we do not like the game. In this thread, I am going to address to those that are saying just quit telling you why, it's hard, or that we just CANNOT stop playing. VALUE This is what I would say, the biggest factor that stops us from not playing. Value. Now you might be asking, what do I mean by value. Why do I use the term value, or in fact, what is value. Defined from Webster's dictionary, Value is: Relative worth, utility, or importance This means that value is more than just the price tag that hangs onto the stuff we have. To us, I would say that your Maplestory character itself, would have a great amount of value because of this. The amount of effort and time you put into developing it to such a high level would be an absolute waste if you were to just dump it away. We all know we as humans are greedy in some ways and that we would demand something back if we are going to just throw what we have away. That's not the only thing about value. You know, I do find it a lot easier to quit the game itself, if what you have was taken away from you. What I'm talking about now is being hacked. Why is it that people can quit easier from being hacked than from scammed, rolled back or frustration? The same topic, value. If we are hacked, all the value of our account is gone, there is nothing left. Sure the value can be a shadow image of what we did, or a fragment of memory but the physical item is gone, you do not have it anymore, you do not have the value of it anymore, that's why, you cannot play. This is when you realizes what you have is now value-less. Not only this but another thing to address is the value of your items. Sure this might be a repetition of what I said earlier but this is also have another related topic. We all know that this game have an economy, just like real life. In fact if we were to value what we have, we can put a price tag on it. From this, there are governments that have observed this action and now are passing laws saying that internet goods are as valuable as real life goods. (The Korean Government had already passed this law) What this does only boosts up the value of what we have in there. From this action, it only convinces the players further and further into thinking that meso = money too. Another great big thing I would have to talk about, is NX cash. This is what I would say, the great pin of everything. NX cash itself is real life money, and with this, we can really calculate the value of our accounts. This is the moments where we are literally putting in real money into playing this game to enjoy it. NX cash I would say is actually terrible in this sense. The more you spend o

It was actually kinda hard to crack open why I was addicted, this game was really distracting me from other stuff, really I would say it was a luck of few articles I read off the internet which showed me how developers do it

I really do get what you mean......... from some stupid error, I am actually unable to even play MS. But, I only play because it's a challenge, and that I know if I work hard, I will get what's coming for me. But, this damn error Is making me incapable of playing, so I am really thinking of quitting. I lost 1.5b in the first Roll back last week or so, and I haven't been on since. It's sucks, but I really think I'm just gonna have to face the reality?

This game is very hard to quit.. Even though it's boring, somehow I find myself still playing when I have free time.

This game is very addicting, I feel that I cannot quit because of all of the time I spent on accounts and all of the positive outcomes that can come out the gachapon or meso bags etc that can get me back on track when I've just been scammed in the game and feel like quicking. The updates also pull me back because I am so eager to know what's new.
