Item Potential Ruining Other items value?

Do you guys think this is true? I thought about it when i was poison haze PQ'ing for Glittering altair earrings and I thought... Why waste the time on these 50 some odd PQ's for +2 all stat earrings?.. when I could find clean earrings with potential of high dex/str or luk or something Does this make sense to anybody else? or would it still be worth it to obtain these earrings?

Well, consider getting them and ADDING potential...If you dont want to risk blowing up that effort from all those PQs then go get some crap earrings and do it. Trust me though, I blew up my BGs, just do what you want. Go big or go home.

You would have to be lucky to find them. Luck is a gamgle, and one can never always make pure profit off of a gamble You may find yourself killing for hours until a potentail earing drops. Then you may find yourself wiping the stats for the earing over and over with the miracle cube ANd in the end when you run out of nx, you may have ended with something good or bad but trully in the end, you have lost money, while with the 50 pq method, you get a free pair of earrings, No questions asked thats how i think about it.

I guess that makes sense... I don't fully understand the whole new item potential, potential scrolls and all that. It's confusing

Seriously, I'm so confused. I saw a 69 atk craven, 4 slots left, but at the bottom, +10 attack and +10 m.atk? Wtf?

[/quote] OR you could get clean earrings and use the cheap potential scrolls on them, then magnify -.-

I don't like this system, but they implemented it and we have to deal with it. >_> I like the fact that equips drop more often and it'll be cheap to get some [previously] decent gear. However, the bottom tier of equips goes up a tiny bit for the unfunded guys, and the top tier FLIES AWAY. You can now be practically twice as powerful as you could before, with plenty more benefits, as long as you're rich enough for it. >_> Though one feature that is nice is getting potential equips and possibly getting lucky on them. Get a random bowman overall, magnify. OH LOOK, it gives epic awesome stats. Sell for tons of money. :D It's a nice new way to make money, even if you don't have much. You just have to get lucky enough.

Yes potential items will reduce the value of other items. It's basically good and bad. We can all get stronger equips "easier" but selling our old equips we'll get less than what we paid for them.

But hey, look on the bright side. People will never have to worry about accuracy again with all those acc equips that give like 60 acc.... Plus they're not even that expensive lol.
