You're probably being targeted by trolls and "jerks" very often because you don't know how to form a sentence with plausible grammar. Actually, you don't know how to form a sentence at all. If you fix up your sentence structure, I'm sure you'd have an overall better experience on BasilMarket. Otherwise, get use to the fact that you're an easy and noticeable target. Here, I'll even help you get started. • Periods. They look like this " . " and are used to end sentences. • Capital letters. The capital of a letter can be obtained by using the "Caps Lock" key or the "Shift" key on your keyboard. They are used as the beginning letter in a sentence, beginning letter in a name (IE: Billy. Michigan state), and to express feeling (IE: You would say "I'M SO ANGRY" rather than "I'm so angry" to get that certain emotion across). Side note: The letter "I" is always capitalized if by itself. • Commas. They look like this " , " and are used to put a pause in the way you read a sentence. An example of this would be "Marry, wash the dishes" rather than "Marry wash the dishes" By properly adding these to your everyday sentences, I assure you that the chance of you getting targeted will decrease noticeably. I would also like to add that my grammar isn't perfect. You can point out any mistakes that I've made, but you should take into mind that I never said I was a grammar god. This thread is to help people avoid trolls and other people looking to attack you.

(mainly for starting sentences with a conjuction or for Dutchisms) [/quote] I can assure you that the only intentions behind this thread are to make it so that less people are able to let a grammar nazi strike, and to make it so that grammar nazis don't have to work as hard or see as much of the horrible grammar that annoys them to the point that they have to say something. This thread was made to help both sides, because I don't believe in demeaning certain types of people. I even think trolls should be respected to a certain degree, but every time I bring that up I get suspended or the thread gets deleted. So we'll save that for another time. But this is an English site. If people don't want to learn how to speak a language properly then they honestly should be allowed to get corrected, no matter how harsh the degree in which one does so. I'm not saying that everyone needs perfect English, I'm saying that if you can't make your sentences plausible and if reading them is nothing more than a hassle then you have a problem. You can monitor the thread as you wish, its not meant to turn into a flame war or anything. And if it does, I'll be sure to lock it to avoid a Mod somehow tying evidence that isn't there to show how I caused the flame war, and thats why I should get suspended. Also, you probably did this on purpose, but please read my thread. Its like you picked out one word that you didn't understand and completely focused your comment on that while ignoring the actual content of the thread. Capitals and punctuations never hurt anyone, so why not throw a couple in?

But that doesn't mean you should disregard everything that you were taught in school when in other places, that defeats the general purpose of school in the first place.

They could be categorized as trolls if the "grammar nazi" couldn't care less about the actual grammar, but would rather just get a laugh out of correcting someones tiny mistake, flaring that persons anger. And thank you, thats what I intended it to be.
