Saving the DB for later?

Since it's no fun that every freaking player possible is using a DB atm, can I put mine on hold for a couple months and return to it once the creation time has been closed? I just wanna confirm that they wont remove the essentials for DB quests and skills due to the assumption that there wont be anymore DB noobs (meaning below 40) running around a couple months following the closing of the DB option. Afterward It'll be interesting to see people f6ing and going OMFG A DB N00B I THOUGHT THEY WERE EXTINCT MESARS PL0X!@1111! I am aware that ill be missing the DB specific events, no need to mention that.

DB creation does not close in gms as far as I know.

You're out of luck. DBs are permanent in GMS.
