So my parents are getting divorced. So before school starts I am probably going to move into an apartment that is a good 20 minutes from where I am living now. So that means I will be going to another school, and basically starting over. I had some good friends at my old school. Now I could live in a place that is closer to my school, but it is more expensive, smaller, and farther away from my sisters school, and that would mean that my mom would have to pay for aftercare. So there really is little chance of me living there. Thing is, I never really had any really close friends(not that I am anti social or anything), it's just that I never really had any time to make friends(I moved to where I live almost 6 years ago, and I spent 1/2 at public school, and 5-8th grade at a private school where pretty much everyone hated me). *kicks dirt, and walks out of topic*.

Almost happened to me, but fortunately enough, my parents sorted their crap out. My sympathy goes out to yourself, good sir. Perhaps this could be a good fresh start?

It's just 20 minutes away? Can't you just open enroll into your old school and take the bus or ride your bike or something? Or take it as an opportunity to start anew? Sorry to hear about the divorce though, that's rough :/

Sorry to hear about the divorce though, that's rough :/ [/quote] No, it's 20 minutes by car. I would also have to bike through a bad neighbor hood or 2. Besides, it would be to far away for me. The school was meant to serve another city, but gets the tail end of two cities, one being the one I'm in. I have people at the others school that I know, just not as good friends with them.

[/quote] Well 20 minutes by car is sort of a vague description. I mean if you're city driving 20 minutes by car is not that far at all but if you're talking highway then yeah i guess that's pretty far.

I'd be in the middle of downtown basically.

You're pretty lucky to have friends or people you know at the other school, its much harder fitting in being a complete stranger.
