Would be nice if any mods could change the title into "Duping, Another Possible Rollback" Thanks As some of you might already know. There is duping going on. I think it first originated in Bera since we had quite a few crashes but then it started spreading all over the (maple)world. Heres why crashing helps duping. How It Works Before we talk about the glitch, you should know that your data is not saved periodically. Only some events will trigger a data save. EX/ Logging out, CCing, Map Changing, going in CS, etc. So the glitch bascially involves 2 glitchers. The buyer and the seller. Lets dupe a SCG as an example o_O -Seller sells the SCG in his shop for 1 meso. -Buyer buys it and leaves the map (his data is saved) -The seller attempts to crash the map/channel/server with whatever method. -Seller crashes and since he did not do anything that will trigger a save, he is rollbacked. -Now both Buyer and Seller has the SCG. Lets explain this in another way. Why do you think Pokemon auto-saves after you trade your Pokemon?... If you trade your Pokemon and then shut the game, you would load your previous save with your Pokemon while the other person will have your Pokemon as well. I mean even Pokemon was smart enough to not let something like this happen... Of course, someone might have two exact same items and sell it both for 1 meso for whatever reason. Look at these 2 PACs.
