BUILD 15/20 silverhawk 20/20 mortal 20/20 puppet 30/30 Inferno--------- 30/30 Arrow rain 14/30 Strafe---------- 10/20 Thrust 150/150 Im debating between getting strafe or interno up...I'm grinding lv 70-78 so that I can leech myself on my bishop untill lv 90- when I do gallos, etc. Which one would be better for lv 70-78? Do bowmasters use strafe or inferno? Also, any input on my build- advice on other skills?

A popular build is to max every skill and leave inferno at 1. Inferno is usually used only for luring, as arrow rain does better damage. Strafe is important to raise for good single target damage, which is important for 100+ training.

your build looks just about perfect, i'd leave it how it is. inferno is better than bomb arrow on enemies of 4+ anyway. strafe will be replaced by hurricane, and its only real use will be to kill the pap/pianus bombs

My build is like Good4440 says.. Everything max except Inferno which is 1. And i like that build. Dont need Inferno, Arrow Bomb has stun <3

I did this build: MAX Strafe MAX AR MAX Puppet MAX Hawk 5 MB 6 Thrust MAX Inferno (<.<) I thought Inferno would be good, but I regret it. Max everything and leave Inferno at 1. I use Arrow Bomb more than Inferno because Stun Effect > 10% more damage+Burn effect... And when the Big Bang comes and Inferno is a lot stronger, you can change it then. But just heed my warning and note that Stun is better than Damage over Time.

Inferno sucks ass O_O. If you have max arrow bomb theres no need for inferno.. you just put 1 into and use for mobbing.

Well, first your build is missing some points, and the max level of hawk is 30. You only have to lose 29 points from 3rd job skills, so you can do: BUILD 29/30 silverhawk 20/20 mortal 20/20 puppet 30/30 Inferno--------- 30/30 Arrow rain 12/30 Strafe---------- 10/20 Thrust This is actually the same build I did, and I freaking love it. Then again, I never trained newts either; I mobbed all the way through 3rd job because I knew I'd have hurricane anyway at 120. Inferno is NOT weak, and I would strongly disagree that it "sucks ass". Arrow bomb hits 150% damage with 60% stun, but inferno hits 160% with burn damage, and inferno is the last and strongest distance mob skill an archer gets. I frequently use both (inferno mixed with arrow bomb to get burn damage + stun), but I often use inferno when I don't want a stun (like luring top crimson guardians, luring/killing typhons, and luring/killing gobies. Be aware that inferno does not feel useful until at least level 16 or so, when its range maxes out and its damage gets respectable. Honestly, it's pretty simple to know if you want inferno or not. If you intend to train at newts or anything else that involves single targets before 4th job, you're going to want high strafe. If you're happy to mob your way to 4th job (like me), you can sacrifice strafe to finish your build. You can still use strafe (I'm using it at sharks right now), but it won't be as strong. I've been sad a few times about not having a lot of strafe, but I'm a lot happier now, knowing that I got the best of all the skills that aren't replaced in 4th job. (Do remember that this is all a little silly, since the rules all change when Big Bang comes out.) -itsme2- Edited to add: If you only want 15 hawk (I think that's a BAD idea, but it's your build), you can put the other 14 points from hawk into strafe and end up with 26. Steal 2 from inferno (158% damage instead of 160%, with slightly reduced burn damage) and 2 from arrow rain (158% instead of 160%), and you can max strafe.

[/quote] her build is almost perfect, but i do suggest keeping hawk at 21 and putting those extra points into strafe. hawk at lvl 21 has 95% stun rate, which is pretty good, and strafe will be 20 or so, which will help on pap/pianus bombs, or newt parties |
