Hi, (sorry if this has already been posted) I just saw that the rings had been nerfed so that just the crit percentages remained on the Cruel and Crit rings. So I'm wondering which ring would be better for a Dit?

If I have SE buff will crit ring be significantly better or just slightly?

I got crit because I like seeing red numbers. Also, despite the fact that I have no real mathematical proof to back it up, crit is better for bandits because they hit multipe times in quick succession. I'd rather have 10% chance of crit x6 than a 5% chance, even if it does 10% more damage.

Lol, I don't have the sources, but I think it's on Spadow's blog. Cruel rings get their "critical" removed, and critical rings still have their critical. Also, classes in the future get %passive critical. So in the long run would you want more criticals or just ONE extra attack. Think again. :P. As of now cruel > crit, but after big bang patch, crit > cruel.

i think that Crit beats cruel. b/c of the fact of 10% critical. i mean. you can't get critical from any other equip sooo.. yea and plus the 1HKO is awesome. even tho its 1% it actually happens frequently.

1) Without SE, the crit bonus is the same, so Cruel Ring is stronger by 1 WATK under most circumstances 2) Without SE, Assassinate's 4th hit is slightly stronger with Cruel Ring, so Cruel Ring can be stronger by more than 1 WATK • 770*0.95+600*0.05 = 761.5% > 760% 3) With SE, Critical Ring privies more crit bonus • 150%*0.25 = 37.5%; 160%*0.2 = 32%; 37.5% > 32% 4) With SE, even though Assassinate's 4th hit is stronger with Cruel Ring, the whole Assassinate+BStep combo is stronger with Critical Ring. • 750+140+20 > =750+140+10 • (1800+1075+900)*(1000/(240+690+1380+390)) > (1800+1064+910)*(1000/(240+690+1380+390)); 1398.148% > 1397.778% To summarize... for now, Critical Ring is better with SE, Cruel Ring is better without SE. However, Critical Ring might be better even without SE after Big Bang patch due to removal of +critical damage on both rings. (2 WATK & 10% chance to crit > 3 WATK & 5% chance to crit) My suggestion? Get both.
