| I have been debating for a very long time what to do with my main. It was either a nightlord or a dualblade, and I'm still undecided. After coming back from a long break, I still had pure mesos left in my account and bought almost everything back. I'm set with everything that both jobs can share. (18atk glove, 20dex cape, 4 atk fs, zakhelm, top/bottom set, face, earrings...) All i'm missing for the hermit is a claw and ~15 sets of stars. while for the dualblade, all im missing is my dagger and blade, although the blade is not possible to get atm. This is not a which class is better, because I love both these classes T____T; they both fit my playing style as mobile, fast, speedy machines that are wanted for bossing and FLASHY. However, I am looking for a job that can last me in the long run. I don't care about the 3rd job, nor the amount of NX the skillbooks are. I also know about the nightlord job, but I don't really know about the dualblade job and how they're going to change after the big bang patch Which job will benefit more from the big bang patch? Do the nightlords get much better? Do dualblades get nerfed pretty badly? I realize DB's are nerfed for a reason, but still :P and I can't really translate percentages into ACTUAL damage...so can anyone give me a rough idea on the damages/numbers by a dualblade? OH and one more thing. For a nightlord, their main bossing attack would be triple throw. For a shadower, it would be boomerang step comboed with SB and possibly assassinate, depending on the boss. What are the types of moves a dualblader uses? All their attacks barge into the monsters...so with their low HP i don't see how this will work. Doesn't CoH even move the DB into the monster? A LOT OF QUESTIONS, BUT IM SURE IT WILL HELP OTHERS TOO TY >~< |

| DBs aren't nerfed really in the Big Bang, other classes just get more noticeable changes/buffs. Even though the numbers are not all set, I really doubt DBs are going to be as bad as some of those "lul DBs got so nerfed!" posts make it out to be. xD And if you have to ask, don't be a NL. I say this often, and to me, people who aren't really sure whether this job is really right for them usually end up crashing and burning. xD |

Also, every NL that I know that has leeched to level 120, quit either at level 120, or shortly after. Leeching is not the way to go for a NL. It's likely cause our playing style doesn't change drastically with 4th job, and people are bored of the training style. |

If this is somehow hard to understand, I like the "woman" metaphor. xD Most classes are like that guy that goes from one girlfriend to the next, each one better than the last, and he ends up with a wife that's very different than the one they started with. His story is "I dated a lot of women, but this is the one I'm gonna stick with until death." He's happy. Sins/Hermits/NLs are like that guy who asks a girl out and that girl happens to be his soul mate. She does get better and better as time goes by, but she's the same girl from start to finish. His story is "I've only dated this girl, and I've never went out with any other girl, but I'm sure this one is the one for me until death." He's happy too. Two paths to happiness. Which be YOU? xD (I'm actually the 2nd in real life coincidentally. Over 7 years later and I'm still dating my first girlfriend. I'm happy too.) xD |

| Go with DualBlade :] NL takes loads of dedication. DualBlades also got a lot of invincibility frames(iframes for short) so when they do their attacks, they don't get hit (if you don't know what it means...) Nerfed or not, DB is still going to stay one of the best, just more....well less overpowered? :] DB is PERFECT if you really like flashy moves that keep you entertained...But it is very difficult to maneuver or you'll die a lot (low hp, no MG! D NL have that better aspect (Easier to keep alive!) Oh and btw, The Nerf is not bad enough that it will do something like automatically kill 40~60% of all people who play DB as main :] (including damage hoars, but only some...like me 8D) |
