So, my girlfriend broke up with me the other day. When I came up to her why, she said she had reasons. It was so random so I asked her friends. They told me she broke up with me because she has confidence issues being my girlfriend. She thought she wasn't doing a good job being a girlfriend. I was her first boyfriend and I guess she thought I was too good for her. Question now is, how can I make her boost her confidence and ease her way to come back to me?

You can always talk to her about it, nothing wrong with a little communication. But I really don't know if her friends are telling you the truth, that seems like a foolish reason. I mean she should of talked to you first, you guys were in a relationship you know.....

Plus, she admitted it herself. =/

dada13, it sounds like she's trying to avoid you. If she truly cared about you, she would of told you a real reason. Either that, or she's done something behind your back to make her so ashamed of herself. The truth is you've done nothing wrong, which is why she's blaming herself. I can't give you the true reason as to why she broke up with you, but don't mess yourself over it.

Now you need to find out what that reason was and stop taking her reasons/explanations at face value.

Then she asked me about my ex before her and that made me feel pretty bad. =/

That sounds so unbelievably fake, this isn't a movie, girls don't break up with guys 'cuz they think the guy is too good for them, most likely that's her way of justifying her having feelings for someone else.

She could be lacking self confidence, and she could be scared that you guys will break up. Which is not the case, because she broke up with you beforehand. Even after you guys broke up, she still doesn't tell you a good enough reason. My advice is to give this thing a break, whatever she's doing is not worth your time.

My ex is my best friend and it seems like she directed the questions to compare her and my best friend. Plus, when I flirt or joking to flirt with another person, she gets butthurt .
