How much DEX do you guys add for your Arans?

I was just wondering how much DEX is an Aran supposed to have. The guide I found here in Basilmarket recommends adding little or no DEX, but I don't see how that would work out since accuracy will be too low to train efficiently. I posted this here instead of the Aran forum because I want EMS players input and because most people here just made Arans. Btw, my Aran is level 34 so far.

I'm a gMSer and I hope you'll forgive me for posting here. I guess the question you should ask is, "how much accuracy do I need for my Aran?" For any warrior class, you should aim to minimise the amount of base DEX you have by using equipment that give accuracy and DEX. (For people who say, add DEX, scroll for STR: it's more efficient to scroll for DEX. Take 10% Overall DEX vs 10% Overall STR, 10% DEX gives 5 DEX 3 accuracy 1 speed vs 5 STR and wdef? 10% Overall DEX scrolls are probably more common too). Aim to just have enough accuracy to hit mobs. A Zakum helm would save you a lot of trouble, giving you 39.5 accuracy on average. Seeing as you're only lv 34, tough it out one more level, scroll a Blue Crusader Chainmail with 100%s if you're desperate. Use sniper pills from Ludibrium for 10 free accuracy. You should be adding points to mastery at this point, which should help with accuracy issues as well.

Illustration: I'll have 200~220 accuracy at lvl 50 that's with and without bless. I need 120~140 max in EMS atm. 160~ for HT. I'm dexless. Adding dex is something you'll end up regretting later, i got a 110 base dex hero friend who remade a 156 hero cause of that.

i have an aran and i left my base dex at 80 so i stopped putting in dex at lvl 40 but i did get a free SoKed z-helm from a friend and i got a maple kartasan from the box event so that helps but if where u leave base dex at 80 i think it just seems to be the right amount that you will need

Even if you're unfunded, 40 base DEX is the most you should have nowadays. Considering mastery gives you a free 20, sniper pill 10, base LUK 2. 32 accuracy with no other equips. Karstan = 35, Zhelm = 39.5, 15 DEX robe = 12, Blessing = 8 accuracy (judging by your 8x character and assuming it works the same way in EMS) 126.5 accuracy before taking into account base DEX. You can easily make 5+ accuracy shoes. 4 base DEX gives 3.2 accuracy. 134.7 accuracy being DEXless. You can easily get a better robe (or top and bottom set later on) and shoe. I didn't include pendants or belts because I'm not sure what EMS players have available to them.

I'm fine with 50 dex (41 dex at this point) My brother got 50 dex and i've got higher dex total than my brother.

Thanks everyone. I think I understand things better now ... My aran only has +10 Dex (14 total), so I guess I'll just cap it at that and try to get ACC from equips when needed.

I'll be/am DEXless. And from the looks of things, I won't even need to get a Zhelm (I don't plan on going beyond 70). Currently 68 ACC (crappy equips) and with Maple PA/Karstan that's 98/103. Which is more then enough to get to 70 (and before you ask: no, we don't have WRs in EMS yet, so it's mainly the same mobs ~50/55 - 70).

im a normal dex aran. and pretty happy. i am gonna probably stop putting in to dex after reading this thread. anyways i REALLY hate funding a character, i prefer going step by step and getting equips along the way. alot more fun
