Dittos are actually failed Mew clones. Hence the ability to use transform and turn into any other Pokemon in existance - the only two Pokemon that know it are Ditto and Mew. They've both got the same colors (including shiny forms) as well as Ditto appearing in the burnt Pokemon Mansion (where Mewtwo was born) AND Cerulean Cave (where Mewtwo resides). Mew is supposed to be the ancestor of all non-legendary Pokemon. Imagine if one never stuck with a form and kept changing and never taking any real shape... there would be nothing left of it but a pink blob that can transform. They also have the same weight.

i think its a valid argument and i might have heard this before. but in some games you can catch ditto in places that have no relation to mew of mewtwo. but im all for your idea. somewhat like porygon - the manmade pokemon.

[/quote] The ditto used its imagination, changed up some parts, somehow gained whatever reproductive system female/GENDERLESS (looking at you bronzor children) pokemon have, got its cash, did its thing, laid an egg o-O @ OT OMG MIND=BLOWN! Though the question as to why a failure was able to reproduce while the original couldn't is still a problem. Then again. if all the mew evolved into other pokemon (why on earth some retard mew decided to become a sunkern i will never know), then that means it gained a reproductive system through evolution, and also managed to change its typing for some pokemon (obviously i can't say all as mew isn't the only non-legendary pure psychic-type). I SUPPORT TEH THEORY!
