Chaos scoll range?

does anyone know how good or bad it can alter a stat, at maximum? Kind of an odd question, I just think it would be cool to know.

60% chance of success. It can make any stat already on the item -5/-3/-1/+1/+3/+5.

when you use a chaos scroll, if it works, it can alter one stat of the item -/+5, it can also choose to alter a second stat at -/+4, a third at -/+3, and so on. this rarely happens on 5 stats at once (if the item has 5 stats, like a zhelm) but it is possible, ive seen zhelms that were chaos'd (during the dupe hack incedent) that had no bonuses to str or int whatsoever, but had insane dex or luk (aka 0 str, 48 dex, 0 int, 23 luk on one, and 0/12/0/39 on another)

[/quote] you forgot that it can be 0 so its less than 50% good and 50% bad since theres 60% chance of success that does nothing at all(not good or bad) also chaos scrolls affect everything that is on the item and it can affect each thing individually. not all are the same.. such as if you scroll broken glasses, 60% chance it works but you could end up with like +5 str, -2dex, -1int,+3luk, +0 hp, +4mp

60% success rate. Can change stats -5 -> +5. And no, it does NOT blow your item up.

[/quote] Add 0 stats is possible to SO its not really 50% negative and 50% positive its 5/11*100 = 45,45% change of negative effect and 45,45% change of giving a positive effect :P [only if the scroll worked already]
