Greetings, fellow basilers. I wanted to create this thread based on probably one of the more annoying class-based questions that comes up here on basil... people asking if it is "worth it" to make X class. What makes a class "worth" anything? Are you expected to get something special out of it? The point of making a new class is that you play and enjoy it. That's all. There is pretty much no other "worthwhile" reason to make one. The point of making a character is not to get something out of having them, but to have fun playing them. This is why this line of thought, that a class needs to be "worth" something is completely idiotic! To all the people wondering if it's "worth it" to make a certain class, just make it, try it and see for yourself. If you like it, continue it. If you don't like it, delete it. That's all there is to it, folks! Seriously, why do we allow these threads to exist? They're no better than "what class should I pick?" threads their way of having useless, biased answers that go nowhere... and to top it off, this type of question is even more useless in general! Feel free to discuss this notion if you wish. As to any mods who see this thread, I encourage you to take Kevvl's original movement to lock "which class?" threads and extend the same treatment to "is this class worth it?" threads.

Your trying to much to sound like mr basil. and helll naw. some classes are worth it and some are not! YOU KNOW NEXON! They release a whole bunch of jobs knowing that some of them suck. Some people make the jobs and spend money on it then quit it then spend more money to fund another better job lol.

I personally enjoy playing on my sin. And my aran. And my brawler. But I love my sin the most, and for those people who like to pin the ZOMG KS NUB on the sin, not every sin is a jerk. I like sin's based on the fact that they're ranged, have a nice attack, the only thing I hate about being a sin is the lack of a mobbing attack until 3rd job. Everyone should play a class they enjoy and have fun on, not just jump on the bandwagon to whoever'sville.

[/quote] But its the DPM charts that leave people pondering and saying "is my class worth it? do i hit hard?" Its talk like that makes those people make BMs and NLs for damage. Not the other classes.

I once saw a Sair and i really liked it but when i tried it, i really got bored of it quick. some people have preferences to their definition of fun. for me, its the up-close fighting style...which is basically my aran and brawler :D

yeah i hate how SOME corsairs chose their class just because they knew that they were going to be the top DPS
