| Seeing as the ring event is back, and those arans of us who didnt manage to get one, such as myself. Does the ring make a notable difference in dmg and crits? |

| They're removing the crit, so don't do it for that... I'd think that the 180hp is a nice boost, and the 3att from the cruel ring should increase your range by a bit. |

| I may be wrong on this, but from what I've read they removed the critical damage increase of the rings. I'm not sure if they remove the critical rate increase that you get with it. |

[/quote] let me show you how wrong you are. Lets assume that the aran is level 90+ with maximum critical damage thingy with combo and that he or she already has 100 combo set for the sake of theory. alone cruel ring gives 1% more damage same with critical ring. cruel ring is slightly better cause of 1 w.atk. with 100 combo +100% for 60% chance. that is a 60% overall damage increase. 100 combo + cruel ring +120% for 65% chance that is a 78% overall damage increase. 100 combo + critical ring +110% for 70% chance that is a 77% overall damage increase. now assuming this is how sharp eye work. at max level its 15% chance for 140% extra damage on critical 100 combo + SE(30) +240% for a 75% chance that is a 180% overall damage increase 100 combo + SE(30) + Cruel Ring +260% for a 80% chance that is a 208% overall damage increase 100 combo + SE(30) + Critical Ring +250% for a 85% chance that is a 212.5% overall damage increase. your losing out of quite a bit of damage no matter how you look at it. Now lets say that the critical damage increase was removed because of KMS rumors. 100 combo + cruel ring +100% for 65% that is a 65% overall damage increase 100 combo + critical ring +100% for 70% that is a 70% overall damage increase 100 combo + SE(30) + cruel ring +240% for 80% chance that is a 192% overall damage increase 100 combo + SE(30) + critical ring +240% for 85% chance that is a 204% overall damage increase no matter how you look at it the rings play a big role in damage. |

If you saw that, you would have understood why he said get the cruel one and you wouldn't have typed this now pointless post up. |

| lol well the revamp hasn't happened yet, and I dont mean to be rude but I was asking ARANS if it changed thier dmg. Im not as interested in theories of what will happen after the revamp, Im more curious to know what has happened after the crit ring was equipped in GMS. Thnks. |

| The ts is not asking about what the Big Bang event is goint to do th the rings, he wants to know if it make a noticeable difference in damage and crit rate now. My answer to that is yes. Let me explain to you not by doing calculations, but rather by telling you about a comparison that I did. With my level 140 Bow Master, I attempted a solo Zakum run. My first attempt failed due to running out of All Cures but that is besides the point. My first run I ended up at 3rd Body 40% left when I quit the run. It took me a bit over 4 hours to get to that point without a Critical Ring. My second attempt (also at level 140) was successful, and I had finished my run at 3 hours and 2 minutes with a Critical Ring. Now if I had enough All Cure Pots for the first run, I probably would have finished at roughly 5 hours (without the Critical Ring) vs 3 hours and 2 minutes with the Critical Ring. Now you can see that there is a 2 hours disparity between the 2 runs, the only difference being the Ring factor. I would highly recommend that everyone try getting a ring, even if they MAY (or may not) nerf it in the future as it will help you in the here and now. I hope that this helps all of you to put the ring in perspective as far as its useability, functionability, and potential. Happy Mapling and Good Hunting. BTW if you want to see pics (ss) of my successful zak run you can look up the MSfacebook for ScarletArrow, I have them posted there ; ] Aloha, Dr4gonxLord |
