Equipment Choice, plz help

Now I am a lvl 100 Sadar I have zak helmet (15-15-15-15) earring: 7 dex Top: 19 Str, 2 Dex Bottom: 16 Dex shoes: str+4 dex +2 Cape: Str+8 W.atk +3 Choice one Shield: ATK+16 (maple shield) Sword: ATK+113 Sparta choice Two: Stonetooth W ATK+116 Which one is better? I have dex base 51. please help. thanks

Well if your shield really has 16 weapon attack on it thats really godly so yea with that and the sparta your gonna do way more dmg then the ST so go with that. Most saders/WKs go with two hands over one hands mainly because of the expensiveness of shield scrolls but if you got a really good one already go with that since the sparta is even faster then the ST. Also the range with power strike and slash blast is farther with a two hander so I'd stick with a two hander till 120 but when you get brandish the shield and the sparta will beat it bad since brandish's range is the same with a one hander as with a two hander. if i choose ST, then i have to change CAPE TO dex PAC. does not it affect my damage ? i only have 104 dex right now, so i have to get a 10 DEX PAC, A RED BELT (ADD 3 100% DEX SCROLL) +6 DEX Is it worth it to change it? thanks

[/quote] Don't bother, I will do the calculations and I was wrong, for some reason I ignored the difference in damage formula between 1handed and the 2 handed swords. Lets consider some 25 att you get from other gear 1.Lets equip the 116 ST with this 25 W.att , that gives us 141 W.att Now the multiplier is 1.145 as both swords are same speed, so 141*1.145=161 is the w.att needed for the 1h+att shield setup to outdamage the ST. 2.Lets equip the 1h sword+shield+25 w.att from gear and see if we can reach 162 w.att nope, 113+16+25=154, 7 w.att short. ST wins. Now, higher the w.att goes from other gear, higher the att of 1h+shield setup to outdamage ST. P.S. It didn't take me an hour to do these calcs :P
