Can I get a "Ring"

Uhm, so, here's my dilemma. I made this character before this "Get to lv50 and you get A RING!" quest came out. I quit him for a little while when he was lv 30ish. I came back and got him to 49, and now I'm asking you guys, can I still get a "ring" if I level to 50? I really have no knowledge about the rings...I don't know if I had to do a quest or something...:P Anyway, any answers would be helpful =)

No. You must make another character, or start from a character under level 10. Ring event starts July 21-27 btw.

Wait so, if I lvl my current ring mule (lvl 48) to 50 on July 21, do I get a ring? Or do I have to make a completely new character?

Wait, what if you made a character during the first ring event and didn't get it up to 50. Could you still use that character to get the ring? I mean on official website, it stated something about them hoping the 2x events will help us get the ring. And....since 2x events are ongoing before the 21st, doesn't that imply that we should be able to use the character we made during the 1st ring event to get the ring even if we didn't hit 50?

Logically, if you completed the quests for Adventurers 10, 20, 30, and 40, then you'd be able to start back up with the level 50 quest. However, if you completed 10, 20, 30, then levelled to 49, you wouldn't be able to do the level 50 quest because you never did the level 40 one. That's my guess, but since Nexon hasn't stated anything, there's no telling what'll happen.

[/quote] I don't even know. I don't think that getting the ring is even worth not-training my character if I have to wait until the 21st anyway. I'm just going to continue to level :P

Scroll down to Hime's post http://forum.nexon.net/MapleStory/forums/2/5131052/ShowThread.aspx So as long as you complete the main phases (lvl 10 weapon, lvl 30 weapon, armour, medal) and you DON't level past 50, you can still obtain the ring if you're lvl 39 or something don't level apparently
