Hey Basilers, as you know, we�ve all been affected by the meso exploit/rollback. You might of thought that everyone lost and had nothing to gain. But sadly, you are wrong. Nexon has made some serious profit throughout this entire aftermath. I�ll explain how. (2 ways) Nexon Cash Shortage First, it all started with the meso exploit. Hundreds of Billion mesos were quickly introduced into our Maple economy. These so called �hacker�s, which I believe are probably just a bunch of Nexon phonies, quickly spent it all and purchased many expensive and rare items. But that�s not the only thing they bought. They also purchased NX at alarming rates, going up to 1:25-30. This caused many maplers to quickly dispose of their NX and reap in large amounts of money. Now that the hackers are in possession of lots of NX, Nexon begins their dirty work. They banned all the hackers, effectively taking away a significant amount of NX from the maple system. This results in a shortage of NX throughout the entire maple economy. But Hey ! What about the rollback? Didn�t Nexon return all NX? Trouble is, they don�t. I personally spent around 30k NX throughout that period of time and only received 12k NX back. Nexon supposedly �estimated� the amount given. Also, you might say, what about the maple points? Well you see, Maple points do not have a significant direct impact into Maple�s economy. It�s only contribution is through Gachapon. Everytime you use gachapon, there is a much lower contribution to the economy (ie. Scrolls you throw away), compared to the MTS. Thus, Nexon has effectively taken a large chunk of NX, forcing maplers to replenish the dwindling supply and thus, creating more profit through purchase of NX cards. High Value of Meso = Low Value of NX Now of course, with the extra 5k maple points , pretty much everyone is gonna go gacha. Approximately 10million players are active in Maple Global, according to the International Maple Website and Wikipedia. Now, about 7million players were most likely online during this time period, seeing as it included a Sunday. And with a rough estimate, maybe half of these players would gacha (3.5mil). Now with an average ratio of 1:10 in Gacha. So thus, 3.5 quadrillion value of items (3.5 times 10 to the 13) was suddenly dropped into our maple economy. And, with the absence of 24 hour meso accumulation, and mesos removed from the exploit, we suddenly have a very high meso value. And guess what happens when a high meso value occurs? A lowered NX value occurs. Now with a lower NX value, players must purchase more NX cards to compensate for the large amounts of NX needed to convert into mesos. So again, Nexon drived up the value of Mesos, lowered the value of NX, causing you to need to spend more NX to get more mesos. Conclusion Therefore, in my theory, Nexon has created this entire plot to make us spend more on NX and thus gaining more profit for their cruel company. No. This rollback is not their plot to make money. Though, they are only trying to fix this mesos glitch and prevent it from destroying the maple community which in return keeps their players and thus keeping their customers.

Still, Nexon may have created the meso glitch itself, and released it through various ways, and planned the containment from the start. All the players are pretty pissed right now, but a small minority is actually leaving.
