Moving Out Of Your Parents House

When do you think that you will either want(must be able to with funds) to move out or have(get kicked) to move out of you parents house? And if you already moved out when did you do it? Did you have to(get kicked)? Or did you do it on your own(willingly)

For college, I'd have to, that's when I'm 18, then I'd find a job, I'd probably end up being separate from my mom. I'm really close to her, but I'll try not to lose contact, it's the very least I can do.

I willingly left to go to university, but I am staying here for the summer because they close the dorms. I think once you're 18 it's time to get out.

Ideally when I graduate from high school. Certain conditions... permitting. I'll probably take up uni residence when I study med but I haven't decided if I'll take a gap year to holiday and volunteer yet...... although this is kinda all dreaming.

I got kicked out when I was 18 and I slept on my friends couch for 6 months. I moved back in for a few months, then moved in with my boyfriend. We broke up, I moved in with friends again, then in with my current boyfriend.

you guys are silly. when you're 18 you've just finished highschool and you maybe have $3000 saved up from working part time since you were 16. that's definitely not enough to move to a new country. And if you do go, you're going to be seldom and feel crappy because you left all your friends behind. :/

how do you people plan on moving out at the age of 18? do you have a job or what? how do you plan on affording funds. I've been working over a year now and I firmly believe I'm no where near close to moving out.

[/quote] Oh so tragic D: Me? 18 still living with the 'rents I see no reason to move out when the college I'm going to is in my city (Austin) people can go on and on about this whole "freedom" and whatnot but honestly I feel I have as much as I want already, no sense in wasting money on moving to some crap dorm when I got what I need hurr. Dig?
