Owls and DB's?

What do owls have to do with dual blades? I saw them in the character creation picture that was posted on spadow's blog or somewhere, and the event right now is for owl tail feathers. Are they mounts or summons or what?

There is some owl npc I think. He has to do with the story line. Also, one of their attacks uses owls. I think it's called Owl death Drop.

its owl dead... i think its like there mascot, because they have some earrings that look like owls. it'd be awesome if they have owl mounts :D

They have normal adventurer mount.

Not quite sure why, but it's one of the new class "themes" they're throwing around, just like Arans and wolves. I could have sworn they were associated with a hawk, too, but that kind of died out. Also, anyone else think Lady Syl sort of resembles an owl, with her haircut and whatnot?
