Why are marksman/snipers so rare?

I'm just curious, Why are they so rare? I hardly ever see any.

Always thought of it more as there were so many other classes to distract new players from even trying out xbows than us being rare.

The weird thing is, I see more Marksmen than Snipers or Crossbowmen. Maybe it's just because of where I train but still, it's weird. o-o

training them sucks at around 2nd job, and most people quit before 2nd job just cause its so tedious if not boring to play as

lol i was thinking of this myself... probably when people think of the archer class, they think bowmaster or Marksman, and since bowmaster has the title for higher DPM, kids are like OH OH OH OH! MAKE MORE DMG PLOXERZ
