Nexon has been selling off every accomplishment in this game for years. You can buy your levels, your money, your items, and you can even buy a legitimate auto-potter. You used to see several threads on Basil filled with people venting their frustration with the cheapening of the game (and with 2xers and gachaponers trying to defend themselves), but now they are gone. So I'm wondering, does anyone care about these things anymore, or is the fight against excessive NX-benefits long dead?

In my opinion there will always be people that care about it. It's always the same argument though, so it gets old and people lose interest. It's always the same answers from people who think they have valid reasoning. "People buy that and it keeps the game free for all you whiners, blahblahblah." "You only care because you can't buy nx, yaddayaddayadda." And it just turns into a back and forth. Myself, I'll always find it unfair. Not because I don't have/can't get nx, because I can. I just don't see the fairness in people having advantages in game that shouldn't have to be bought. But after years of playing this game, you learn the company ultimately cares about their money, not their players. It's unfortunately something you just learn to live with.

I've never really expected Nexon to change their ways, but I have hoped to change the views of some players. I hoped one day people would think of 2xers and gachers not as accomplished players who have put a lot of effort into their account, but as cheaters.

Which I suppose is bad for me considering if I CAN work up enough nx to 2x, it's very likely I will. Lol. Good luck attempting to change their views though. xD

I see your points, however, no 2x? no gachapon? Lemme ask you this, considering you view people who buy 2x as cheaters. Do you respect someone who leeched from 50-120 within a couple of days using their own LEGIT mesos they earned from merching? Or do you respect someone who worked for their money, bought 2x cards, and lvled themselves to 120? Looking at your point, do they both count as cheaters? Everyone could argue for both sides. The fact is Nexon win either way, they dont care if some people lvl themselves to 200 on 1x or if some people never use gach. The majority will use atleast 1 2x card sometime in their maple career and try a gach ticket atleast once, to give themselves a boost. We also need these people, since they are funding Nexon, making the market flow with freshly gached scrolls/items etc and ultimately, keeping the game 'free' for everyone.

Feecee, I respect hackers more than I do 2xers and gachers. At least they understand what they're doing is cheating. I'm not a fan of leeching with mesos that were actually earned either, but that's beside the point. One of them is buying their levels with in-game money, and the other is buying their levels with real life money. My argument is only about the second one; whether the first one is cheating is a completely different issue.
