A Drawing program?

Well I finally got a tablet for my laptop! Horray (been waiting for months -_-") So I'm wanting to draw on the computer and try to learn a new program to use for drawing. But I have no clue Could anyone suggest me a program to use for a tablet? I've heard of Ms paint and that's pretty much it and if you don't mind can you tell me a free program not one that I have to pay? Tyvm in advance! P.S. Please post link if you can! Ty again!

GIMP is awesome. It is advanced, free, and it is compatible with most operating systems. I have it running on my Linux one. http://www.gimp.org/ EDIT: And if you want a program similar to Microsoft Paint, there is KolourPaint available, which I use, because Microsoft Paint is not compatible with my operating system. (Unless I use other programs to run it, which is a hassle, and slows my computer down.) And congratulations on your tablet. I want one, as I still use my ancient mouse.

You should try Gimp, it's what I use and it's kind of like the poor man's version of Photoshop xD It's free and I draw perfectly with it

if you look at my drawing in basil screen submissions, i just started digital art 3 weeks ago and im getting pretty decent ish, used Painttool SAI. AMAZING program, i'd rate it better than photoshop for just drawing. photoshop is better for editing though. GIMP is good too, but not as much as ptsai. ptsai willl say its a 30 day trial, just google painttool sai crack english pack after your trial expires, very easy to restart the trial indefinitely.

I've been using Gimp for both professional and recreational work and it has done me wonders. SAI didn't appeal to me at all, but that's merely my opinion.

[/quote] Google Painttool SAI, and make sure you also download the english pack since ptsai is a japanese program. I don't know the actual websites I typically use water color for easy blending, airbrush for darker colors, and pen tool for smooth lines. Only 2 or 3 tools used, and so much achieved through just that ^^

Yeah I think you can buy it from both Best buy and Future shop. But I bought mine from a computer shop in a specific mall near my area.
