Ok i haven't looked through the forums at all, but i'd guess that there's like 100 of these threads out there. I apologize in advance. Cruel or crit ring for a warrior?

Cruel... for people without passive crit. Crit for people WITH passive crit (Arans have passive crit) But after Big Bang patch cruel rings will be better for both cuz critical loses something critical wise (I think the percentage) and Cruel still has 1 more att and stays the same.

[/quote] The second statement is so wrong... Critical rings will remain better. Why? Correct me if I'm wrong, but to my knowledge everyone gets a passive crit. Second, all critical rings lose is the 10% damage. However, the 10% rate stays the same, which means because everybody has a passive crit now, it is much better.

In ther current MS: Solo: Cruel Ring wins by only 1 watt. Partying: Critical Ring thanks to SE and Thorns. Balance: Critical Ring (seriously -1 watt is not goingto hurt in solo, and the bonus when you party with and Archer or DB will be well worth it) New MS: No clue. We just know that the effectiveness of criticals is down and it wont be as big of a deal. Except for an Aran that can now hit a 100% critical rate with the critical ring (and some other equips and SE), if I remember correctly. those that say "just get both": Not everyone has the time to earn 2 or more rings. Some of us find it to be a pain in the Ass to level up yet another character for the millionth level up event.

[/quote] The only thing Critical Rings lose is the additional critical damage... It still has 10% critical rate. Critical Ring > Cruel Ring. 1 attack won't make much of a difference. 5% rate will, because a better chance of criticals is ALWAYS better than 1 measly attack. ESPECIALLY in bossing.

[/quote] You forget that after the big bang, Cruel Rings will have a 20% damage advantage and a 1 watt advantage (for Magic thats 20% damage and 4 Matt (which is on par with Watt now) with a 5% decrease in chance. However I wont debate with you on which ring is better now, because you dont know and I dont know. Criticals have changed a little too much and we need to know what effects buffs and equips have on critical damage before we can go around saying which ring is better.
