Alright, so a lot of people are wondering about the new job, Dual Blade. I've decided to start this thread to help people understand more about this new job. Question #1 - When are Dual Blades coming out to GMS? Answer to Question #1 - July 14th, 2010 Question #2 - What weapons will Dual Blades use? Answer to Question #2 - They will use a Dagger, and also a Blade Question #3 - What is a Blade? Answer to Question #3 - A Blade is a new weapon coming that will most likely be exclusive to Dual Blades Question #4 - Will Dual Blades make other jobs go extinct? Answer to Question #4 - No, Dual Blades will be nerfed so Dual Blades won't kill other jobs or vice versa. However , they were buffed as well. This does not mean Dual Blades were as strong as they were before, but stronger than when they were nerfed. Question #5 - Will there be Mastery Books for certain skills? Answer to Question #5 - Yes, but it will be in a form of a scroll (let's call them Mastery Scrolls). Those Mastery Scrolls will work like Evan's Mastery Books, meaning you have to pay NX for them. Question #6 - Do you NEED to get the Mastery Scrolls? Answer to Question #6 - The Mastery Scrolls are not required, they only make the skills you buy the scrolls for better. Question #7 - So what about MapleSEA? When do Dual Blades come out for MapleSEA? Answer to Question #7 - Probably around August, September, or October. Question #8 - So are Dual Blades good at bossing? Answer to Question #8 - You will get a skill at level 30 - 55 that will be AWESOME at bossing. So in short, Dual Blades are good at bossing. Question #9 - How do you create a Dual Blade? Answer to Question #9 - Log in with your Nexon Passport at the Maplestory website, then click Start Game. Then, choose your world and channel. You will then have to click Create a Character. You will see a button called Explorer/Dual Blade. Click on that, then choose your name and appearance. You have created a Dual Blade. Question #10 - So is there a limited time to make a Dual Blade? Answer to Question #10 - For GMS, no. Probably no for MapleSEA as well. Players we're planning to make MASS HOARDS of accounts with Dual Blades if they was a limited time to make one. So to counteract this, Nexon made it permanent. Good game, Nexon. xD But why is KMS limited? Because to create a Nexon account in KMS it requires a Korean Social Security card. Question #11 - Is it recommended to be a Dual Blade if your new? Answer to Question #11 - Nope. They are pretty expensive and most of their useful skills require NX to be maxed . Question #12 - Is there any special items for Dual Blades like Lilin's Ring and the Evan glasses? Answer to Question #12 - Yes, you will get items similar to those, masks. Question #13 - So if we don't have NX to get Mastery Scrolls, are we basically screwed? Answer to Question #12 - No, NX just makes the skills better . Question #14 - What is the mount for Dual Blades? Answer to Question #14 - The same as an Explorer's, a good ol' n

So will monsters drop skillbooks? That's a pretty FAQ that I didn't notice up there Edit: Which monsters will drop them that are available in GMS?

dual blades dont get nerfed , they get buffed, get your facts right

[/quote] I remember seeing a screenshot on Spadow's blog of at least 50 DB's hogging King Sage Cat...apparently it drops an item for a quest that gives a skill. Do you mean that monsters drop mastery books? (4th job books, give level 20/30 upgrades.)

I have a question: Will other kinds of thieves (sins, dits, etc.) be able to wield the blade since dual bladers are part of the thief class?

First it hits with the dagger, then blade, then dagger until the attack is over. And of course the dagger is stronger.

The Blade does not act as a shield. A Dual Blade alternates between the Dagger and the Blade. This is bad. If there's a big difference between your Dagger's weapon att and your Blade's weapon att you could be even MORE unstable than Archers. :O
