Bishops being Abused

People always abuse Bishops. In Leafre when people want to skele who has to run to skeles and door everyone there? When getting rdy to Zak who has to run all the way to zak and door every one there? When galloing or getting rdy for a scar run who has to run all the way there to door everyone? When leeching someone and us Bishops forget to HS the leeched (lol) who gets yelled at? When someone dies in a boss run or training who gets yelled at first? Finally when bossing who gets yelled at for attacking the boss instead of healing? The answer is simple BISHOPS. Im very tired of this. Bishops are abused. I dont mind people asking for doors or hs or heal but people are now dependent on it and assume that us Bishops have no other purpose then to door, hs and heal. I think for one day or even a week every Bishop should take a break from maple. I really want to see how MapleStory would be without us Bishop being there to SUPPORT everyone else.

So you don't want Bishops to do their jobs? Dooring the party is their job. You're just unlucky to run into ill-tempered people who yell at you. The statement "People always abuse Bishops." is completely false.

I really cant vote for any of these. Ive just taken the stance of not training with or friending anyone who doesnt treat me well. Not just during training, but on boss runs as well. Its worked fine for me all these years. Also, I actually dont mind running ahead and dooring everyone lol

Arin i don't mind it either but when people demand that u do it is what I'm trying to get at. MastaSella i get what your saying. I like doing my job as a bishop but a lot of bishops deserve some gratitude. We do a lot for other people in the game. Some people are nice to Bishops like you are but I've come across a lot more people that take advantage of us.

You'll always run into people like that here in Maple as well as real life. Only thing you can do is suck it up and ignore them. Complaining about it won't do anything. I created this thread over a year ago and it accomplished nothing and only started a massive flame war. That was way back when I was new to Maple and Basil and just a wee Priest.

I agree that sometimes bishops do get screwed around with, especially when idiots decide "hey, they're my hp pot, they're here for the sole purpose of healing, resurrecting, and dispelling me!" Not saying that those things aren't our job (minus the HP pot lulz), but some take pure advantage of it and get mad at the tiniest things we might falter on. I have to agree with MastaSella, though. Clerics, priests and bishops-we aren't here to help attack. We are a supporting class meant to assist the other classes in terms of Heal, Resurrect, HS, Dispel, Door, etc. Notice all these are party oriented skills. Yes they can benefit a solo cleric but not as much as they would in a party. Really, like others have suggested, just ignore those who are idiots to you and move on. There's a LOT of bishops in each world.

[/quote] We're called a support class, that doesn't mean we replace your hp pots, it's your own fault for dying. lolwut, so if I spam heal someone 24/7 i'll make money? Please tell me how this works.

We'll it's not just bishops. You're like generalizing it all -- it'd go with other classes that has useful buffs, but I do admit it goes both ways. Should earn the respect and not demand for it. Ask me nicely and I'll give it to you, but demand it like some arrogant person, I'll just ignore you. Some people don't mind either way while others get ticked off for every little thing.

[/quote] Bwahahaha, actually when i zak people want me to attack. At arms i'm supplying HEAVILY to take down arms by dealing averagely 55k times 8 every 2.7 seconds. And at body i'm great for taking out mobs. Bishops aren't heal mules and the only place where i will spam heal at a boss run is at HT, because my fav party is sed party. But spamming heal wont bring me any profit.

ehh been there done that, i dont have that much people yell at me. All the people I know will usually forgive me like when I talk during a session of run/training i get distracted enough to not HS. And yea i suppose i do things more with friends but even friends of friends or complete strangers usually dont yell at me, it's probable your luck.

I (lvl 92 priest) kick every member out of my party who's annoying me with those stupid remarks. Priests/bishops, dont forget: WE are the one with the last word! If someone is getting annoying calling you a HS/heal or any mule, just dont buff/heal him anymore, or kick him out of your party. See who laugh last...
