Reverse Executioners compared to Red Katanas

Hello everybody, I used to play with a Reverse Nibleheim. but now went 1- handed, and now wield a Reverse Executioners. I loved the speed increase, and now i wondering if i maybe should try to get more speed and get a Red Katanana. I would like to have more Dpm with the Red katana but i think that might be hard, but i hope some of you guys can do the calculations. My Reverse Executioners is 132 attack, and my other attack equips give in total 55 attack (19 shield, 16 glove, 5 pac, 3 ring, 12 BoF). So now i am wondering how much attack a Red Katana should have to give me more or an equal dpm

Its probably not really worth the conversion seeing you obviously have already equiped the Executioner so you won't make any money from selling it to buy a new weapon.

Below are the Watt values needed for a RK to match your executioner. You'll probably want to add 5 watt to the below numbers if you want to convert to a RK. With a Cider: 115 RK (32 above average) With an Apple: 109 RK (26 above average)

you need both Bas, the exe when you get SI and the katana when you dont have it, but keep in mind that higher dpm is not equal to higher % on training or less hits to ko monsters. also, if you hve se and critical ring you will be able to del more criticals, just becuse you hit more times over time. about the convertion, i never learned how to do that.

haha thanks guys, well main reason to convert to RK is for bfing, since i heard it's easyer to take the KB with a faster weapon. but a 115 Rk can be very costly i assume so i guess ill pass :P

I think it would cost an awful lot of money, and you can't sell the exe.

This one works assuming you compare weapons of the same type (1h sword vs 1h sword) and that there are no changes to str/dex/watt bonuses (although usually the differences are neglectable, except for the watt bonus difference with 1h + shield vs 2h). (W1 + Watt1)/S1 = (W2 + Watt2)/S2 Where W1 is the Watt of a weapon, W2 is of a different one, S1 is the speed of W1, S2 is the speed of W2, and Watt1 and 2 are the respecitve watt buffs from skills, pots and other equips. You can however compare Different weapons if you factor in the advantage one weapon will have from it's damage formula. The best estimate I've seen for 2h vs 1h is 8/7 in favour of the 2h, but it varies based on your str and dex. After the revamp, I think it will be easier since the new formula will be: M1 * (W1 + Watt1)/S1 = M2 * (W2 + Watt2)/S2 Where M1 and M2 are the multipliers for the respective weapons in the new damage formula.

So what do you guys think, invest money in a expensive RK to be able to bf better, or upgrade my other equips, like a 18 str top(more str) or a 8 str belt(attack belt). :P

I think the best thing to do would probably be to invest in a nrw/ st (if you have any base dex). After the revamp, 2 h swords will be noticeably stronger with the extra boost from % equips and dex warriors with dex will be a lot weaker (as acc will not be of any importance). That being said, if you have added any base dex, it would be best to take advantage of it by using a dex required weapon.

[/quote] New: 1.29/1.10 = 1.17 Current: 8/7 = 1.14 You are right about 2h swords getting a greater advantage over 1h from the formula, but we still dont know if other factors will affect this comparison. If the gap between weapon speeds increases, then 1h will have a greater advantage, or if cycling between BS and Finishers becomes optimal for your DPM, then many may want to use faster swords for a higher chance of keeping Chance Attack's effect in player longer. But how much these will affect overall dpm is unknown to me at this time.

Uh i don't feel like using a st/ nrw :P since i just bought and scrolled this shield, and i love the look of 1h brandish. my executioner is hammered and fully leveled yeah, to bad it just gained 2 attack of leveling -.- my max damage with rage and mw20 is like 40-41k each brandsh.
