They obtained so many 2nd chance shots bc of their offensive rebounding, something the celtics weren't doing that was what kept the score fairly close. What killed the Celtics was the free throws. They were getting calls left and right for stupid reasons and those points add up. Not to mention ron artest's stupidly retarded and lucky 3's

Don't you just love those arrogant pompous Lakers fans? We might as well hand the Lakers the title now, since they're so great, no way they could possibly not repeat as champs. I hope Kobe tears his ACL and misses the whole season (and I like Kobe btw) just so I wont have to hear those annoying Lakers fans.

The Lakers have a huge fanbase. Many aren't really basketball fans if it's not a good Laker year. So they don't really have much to say or really have any legitimate clue other then to hang onto LA like grim death.

Yeah, there are one or two teams per sport like that(Yankees being an obvious example). But alot of teams are full of diehards that live and die with that team up or down. Look at teams like the Browns, Clippers, Orioles, Knicks etc. They lose but fans still come back every year with that same faith and know the game. They don't ignore the rest of the league when there team is down. Teams like the Lakers have their diehards, but there are more of those fans who could care less about anything if they aren't winning. The ones that know the game are a lil more worried right now then they were last week. The rest are busy kicking and screaming that LA is going to walk to another title next year.

Sure they got LeBron (who is good but not GREAT) and Bosh, but they haven't done anything yet. While Kobe, Gasol, and the rest of the Lakers have proven that they can get the job done day in and day out over the past 2 seasons. So until Miami plays at least 1 game, I'm going to say the Lakers are still the team to beat. FYI: This coming from a life long Suns fan, who hates the Lakers.
