I caught my father putting guns into a giant duffel bag

So I went to the movies with a couple of my friends and I didn't realize how short the movie would be so I came home early. I walk in and I see my dad and a bunch of his friends putting guns into a giant duffel bag in the kitchen. I don't think they noticed me because I walked in to the kitchen undetected. Right after I opened the refrigerator was when all hell broke loose.They actually thought I was an intruder. They all jumped and pointed there guns in my direction. I was speechless. That was when my dad stepped in. I really don't know what else happened because my dad sent me to my room. Why would my dad have so many guns? I mean he's a fisherman; It's not like he's going to shoot fishes. Should I just ignore this or should I call the cops. But if I call the cops my father might get in trouble and I don't want to see that happen. I really don't know what to do.

well i've heard somewhere that there's a method of fishing where you shoot the water near them and the shockwave (i think) kills them or was that dynamite... idk i saw it on mythbusters long ago

Has this happened with anyone on basil? If it has can you pm me and give me advice? I mean my dad has never gotten angry before. So why would he need guns? Can I perhaps try to get him in a situation where he's forced to stop what he's doing? I mean so far I don't see anything illegal.
