How are children with cancer brave?

More like unlucky if you ask me. EDIT: Before anymore idiots come in to this thread, it's just a question. Don't get so excited.

Well I'm an actual cancer patient and let's see how you like it if: You got multiple chemotherapy sessions (lost hair once). Had at least 3-5 lines put inside your body. Had to get 2-3 chest tubes altogether stuck on either side of your body (not all at once) Had to get steroids which completely destroyed your hips and knees. Had to get 3 separate transplants. Got infused with multiple antibiotics/ given multiple oral medications all of which you found out the hard way you are allergic to. Yeah not brave.

Here you go. I don't see much that fits, but I'd have to say "courageous endurance" seems to be what Cancer patients fall under.

Why a cancer patient is brave: -possessing or exhibiting courage or courageous endurance. I could probably not handle being told I had 3 months to live. He fights for litteral life. The most you've probably fought for is a video game controller. -Archaic . excellent; fine; admirable I would admire someone who fights death tooth and nail. Noun: -a brave person Proof above. verb: -to meet or face courageously: to brave misfortunes. I would say cancer is misfortunate. I would say dieing in 3 months would be a demotivator to do anything, wouldn't you? -to defy; challenge; dare They challenge death, with a daring chance of nearly 20% that a torture treatment will work. All and all, you're either very ignorant or just simply inconsiderate.

It's either do that or die. If I had cancer, I wouldn't be acting out of bravery doing all those things. I would be keeping myself alive. I guess you could be considered brave because you have to live in the fear of pain/death, but that's it.

Maybe it's not exactly "brave" since they have to do it and have no choice but you can't just say they're just random people who just stay in bed
