Evan and Dual Blade -- NEW Story Lines

http://www.4gamer.net/games/011/G001163/20100706054/ It turns out, Nexon Japan changed the story lines of Evan and Dual Blade. Evan is/was a citizen of Leafre who grew up and obtained a Dragon Egg and hatched it into Mir, the reincarnation of the legendary dragon that once fought along side Aran against the Black Magician. Dual Blade starts in Kaede Castle (JapanMS region inside Jipangu), which seems like a much better themed area than Kerning City for Dual Blades. At least, that's my opinion. Here's what a friend of mine, Aslemn, said he thinks the story lines are like : [quote] Aslemn : As expected, the preview wasn`t lying. The storyline was COMPLETELY changed. They don`t mention so much about Evans storyline. But a new area has been mentioned in the preview story, Ankin Forest, which is, i believe, the foggy forest in the beginning, i believe they`re making it a REAL area. But by what i understood, the final storyline is like this. Evans are citizens of Leafre, descendants of heroes. They live alongside Hafrings, taking care of Dragon Eggs, when a day, they discover that one of those eggs was from the extinct race of Onyx Dragons, the egg hatches and you guys know the rest. Note that NO SKILLS were changed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dual Bladers: This one was the story that has been altered mostly. In the preview, they mention a Dark Dragon Clan, Asia and Kamuna stories and a Ninja organization. Here`s how i think it`s going to be. Dual Bladers, are citizens of Kaede, a past themed area. They are now members of an organization called "The Dark Dragon Clan", which is not so much clear in the preview, neither the interview. They live in Kaede Castle, and are maybe opposite to Tonosama, the frog that rules the castle. Maybe, the Dragon Clan was the organization founded by Kaedeya to drive Tonosama and his gang out of his Castle. Also, their story is related to Time Travelling through the Kamuna tree, where time doesn`t flow, and where the Oracle that sensed the destruction of the World by Aufheben, that was going to crush the Maple world with a Dimensional Distortion. The rest is regarding Tokyo Storyline, priests of Time, Asia, Dunas and Ashley used to protect the Time Crystal and the power of the old tree. Ashley got kidnapped by Aufheben, and hidden in the alternate side of the Roppongi mall. Dunas went crazy on losing his girlfriend, and went berserk bec

[/quote] I think so too. It's a little bit annoying seeing other versions of the game taking on different (better) storylines and evolving, while GMS is stuck beside KMS like siamese twins.

I was imagining Dual Bladers were like Evans, growing up at home, but for the quests you wouldn't get any pots because your family was too poor in kerning city...

I like this storyline better. I'm not sure if MapleSEA would even get these changes, but I somewhat hope so.

yay, evan's story is less like eragon... and now I don't have to complain on how if I make my character black then evan's mom didn't have an affair w/ a black guy.... But I don't play JMS, so I'll probably keep complaining ;)

But only those hairy animal things live in leafre o_O How is it possible that only one of the citizens is a human? And it's a kid too. They must've.... a woman, then ate her after she gave birth :O

Wow...the stories are COMPLETELY different! I guess the new places matches with the themes pretty well but I'm not sure starting beginners off in Leafre and Kaede Castle is such a great idea. Anyways, I'm quite surprised they had time to come up with different quests/stories for both of these jobs and release them together...0_0
