Critical Ring or Cruel Ring?

Hey guys, lately there has been an update that the Critical Ring has lost its critical dmg, not the Critical %. I have been wondering, which ring would be better, dpm-wise, for a Hermit?

Im not sure but I think that the max critical rate is 50% and that is given to you in second job assasin, so there is 1 extra attack in the cruel

When the revamp comes, the cruel ring was always the better choice for almost every class.

Pre-revamp, there is less than a 1% difference in the performance of these two rings. So which one you grab really doesn't matter. Post-revamp, the Cruel Ring is far superior, and we can expect this revamp in around 6 months. If you think you'll still be playing then, then get the Cruel Ring.

I'm still thinking there's a typo on the Crit Ring, and that Cruel, Magic might be nerfed too. Don't get your hopes up too quickly. Crit Ring is still better right now.

They actually nerfed the Critical Ring even further post-revamp, it no longer even gives the 10% critical bonus damage. Unless they nerf the Cruel Ring too (and by ALOT), it's going to be waaaay better.

wow i started playing maplestory on july 4 2010 and as of today july 13 i am lvl 44 it is to hard to get to 50 and i tried my best i wishh it wud stay for like 2 more weeks. oo well i wish if there is another event where i can get a ring and i also missed the lilins ring too D=

[/quote] I think the TS did state that the critical damage was gone, and that only the 10% critical rate still stood. In other news : KMST V327 ~ Edelstein & Leben Mine Spadow : P.S. The 20% critical damage was removed from the Adventurer Cruel Ring in this patch. Lol. Now the Critical Ring is better. Critical Ring's 10% Critical Rate > Cruel Ring's 5% Critical Rate.
