Still having problems starting MS by Game Launcher?

| Fore those who are still having problems Launching Maple Story through the Game Launcher shortcut i have a fix for this. As most know after the last patch teh game launcher went wacky and errors out when you try to load maple story making it to where you have to visit the mapleglobal site to launch MS. All you have to do is this. Go to the folder MS is intalled to. Look for the GameLauncher.exe Right click it and click the option to send to desktop (creat shortcut). Next go to your desktop and find the short cut for GameLauncher.exe right click it and go to properties. Once you have Properties box for the shortcut opened you will see a target line showing where the launcher is launching from. Highlight the entire target line and replace it with C:NexonMapleStoryMapleStory.exe GameLaunching now notice at the end of this target line i put a space and added GameLaunching. that HAS to be added to the target line with the rest as you see it or else the launcher will not work for you as usual. Also i forgot to add for those people who directs the install to install in the Programs File folder the target line should be put as C:Program FilesNexonMapleStoryMapleStory.exe GameLaunching Ty to ones who responded making me aware of the secondary option for the target line i didnt post. http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff100/bryk19792nd/GameLauncherx.jpg Here is a screen showing how it should look. | when you changed the target line did you add the GameLaunching at the end (C:NexonMapleStoryMapleStory.exe GameLaunching) also if you installed MapleStory into your Programs Folder then it needs to be chnged a little to (C:Program FilesNexonMapleStoryMapleStory.exe GameLaunching) <<<< for people who install MS in program files folder. I added a screen shot above on how it should look since Basil isnt showing the full target path im posting. |

| easiest thing to do is make a desktop copy of it and change the name to anything. ANYTHING! i changed the name to StartGame and it works fine. |

| most people dont know tho unfortunately. I made it easy and put a small walk through for people to make things a bit easier. what i love is how people are all of a sudden using what i put up and basically claiming it;s their idea when im the first person to even post the method let alone to take the time to put a tutorial up for it. |

| This is super old.. all it takes is just 5 minutes of googling to figure out this. As xenofire stated, just change the name of GameLauncher.exe, to anything you want. ie: MapleStory.Exe, etc. |
