Spain vs Netherlands match prediction

I know the match isn't until Sunday, but who do you think will win. No matter who wins, its either Spain's or Netherlands first world cup title.

And the people who are being too optimistic about themselves are the Dutch fans, go through all the comments on this thread and THEN judge.

Spain had the easiest path to the finals in history. They got lucky with germany and all the other teams they won against were crap or played like it. Portugal, well you can figure that out yourself by knowing that the goalkeeper was the only one that cared. And they almost lost to Paraguay, rofl. And dont call the win to Brazil luck, the Brazil goal was luck and Brazil was Disgusting in the 2nd half. The germany game was luck with that random superman header

The score line does not reflect the games performance, Spain dominated Germany in every single aspect in that game.

Dutch fan here. I don't know who will win, but I'd give a slight edge to Spain in winning as they've been able to dominate the field in possession in all their games giving their opponents very few chances to score. Anything can happen though and it's not as if Spain is heavily favored. Netherlands is ranked 4 in the World and Spain is ranked 2. Looking forward to a great match.

[/quote] Spain was lucky; the Germans were playing absolute crap in comparison; karma finally bit them where it hurts. This is not to say the Spanish aren't good; Casillas was my hero after Van Der Saar bowed out of the international stage. As for the finals? I believe that the Netherlands didn't get enough of a scare from playing Uruguay to play in top form, and they need to play like that second half against Brazil to beat Spain. I feel that Spain will play consistently well, so it all comes down to how serious the Dutch are.

[/quote] Germany played like crap, if you have seen article about Germany before their losing, it was about how this new Germany team was different from the older ones by using short passes instead of long ones like older teams. If you saw the game, all they used is Long passes, they were really dissapointing, didn't know that Mueler was so much of a playmaker, and if Spain wins, I won't say they got lucky unless the goal was offsides, im not like that, but when Netherlands win, thats what most Spainish people will say.

i think the spainish have a slight edge over the dutch in defense and they are pretty equal at offensive capabilites. But the netherlands need to play aggressive and not let spain dominate the possesion like they did agaisnt germany. im going 2-1 for spain. i hope they start torres and fabregas

[/quote] Germany played like crap because Spain tactics worked perfectly, marking Germany's playmakers. They pretty much double teamed playes such as Ozil. Without players like that Germany had absolutely no space up front, hence the complete lack of shots. On the other hand Ramos played one of the best games I had ever seen him play. Constantly running up the right flank from his defensive position, something that Germany had no answer for. You can say that Germany played like crap all you want, but they only played like crap because their normal passing game was completely outdone by the Spanish tactics.

I still like to think that with Mueller they would have won though... He is just such a good help to the team, and him being sent off sucked a lot for Germany... His "foul" was something lame anyway..not like intentionally stepping on someone's face or doing an Uruguay handball... But Spain was top-notch and if they play like that again Holland is done for!

HAHAAHHA I suggest you watch the match before you comment on it, and Portugal played good they got clean sheets against Brazil, Korea, Ivory Coast, need I say more? Holland DID win by luck against Brazil. And Spain got the easiest path to the finals in history? HAHHAHAHAHHA this guy doesn't know crap about football...
