So I decided to use my old Windows XP computer for boss runs. I have completely reformatted it so it's like brand new. I want to know what programs are needed to run MapleStory. Such as Adobe? Java? etc.

Your drivers. Specifically, your graphic driver, if you haven't installed it already. Edit: Also, might as well as install all of the other stuff you listed as well, like Flash and such. You are going to be doing it later anyways.
