noy really. all it does is make the monster drop a random item. it acts as if u killed the monster and it drops something.u could use it if u wanted to not kill monsters n try to get drops, but thats kinda dumb.

But the skill description says it does damage. Also, it seems to attack from farther than a regular attack anyhow.

sry for second post but steal can be really good if u fight high lvl monsters u barely hit and u can prolly get rich fast if u hit like a wraith for red whip

It'd be hard to find, Steal does in no way increase the drop rates of items.

It would be advised that you MAX steal because it is the one skill you are gonna be using until the 4th job.

There's a Bandit build that suggests only 11 points in Steal, if you wouldn't want to put them in Dark Sight at the end of the job. Unlike Pictor, I wouldn't suggest maxing it.

im maxing it but rite now its lvl 2 and i got REALLY lucky and stole kumbis from a drake. it help me get some extra dragon skins, drakes meat and blood. but dont get it if u dont want it.

When maxed at level 30, there's a 40% chance to steal, and it deals 100% attacking damage. Sounds like a good skill to replace my regular attack with. Anyway, if someone could clarify how far steal attacks from, that'd help me in choosing skills later in the job.

its like using a regular atk. u have to hit the monster. but i think of it this way, when u have maxed steal ur like a bowmen with arrow blow's chances of critical. its a pretty good chance. its nice to show it off to beginners
