Why the hell are there 2 types of erasers?

Why are there fake erasers and real erasers? It really makes no sense to me. I just bought a slime eraser for 27m thinking it was real....I know its my fault for not reading the discription but are fake and real erasers really necessary?

How does one derive an epic chair from said erasers? OT:Idk what they do, but people before me are smart...I just know there was something to do with them with Gold Richie.
