Bleach question about Orihime?

So I've been watching the anime show Bleach , and It's pretty good. But there's just one thing that's bothering me, which is Orihime. All of the characters have all improved alot, like Chad which is like a human just like her too, and he got that new left arm weapon thingy, and the Ishida got his new bow also. But I havn't seen Orihime improve one bit, she can heal and do the tri-shield, but that's pretty much it. She always waits till Ichigo comes, which totally annoys me. I'd like to atleast see her get some new abilities, or fight an enemy. She also kinda reminds me of Sakura from the anime show Naruto , Sakura always relied on Naruto and other people to save her, but now she's totally stronger, she can heal and even has super strength. She even beat one of the akatsuki! And yes, you could say I am comparing them but suriously, Orihime needs to improve.

imo sakura is still kind of useless LOL, but every show kinda has that useless or annoying girl character, well at least the ones i've seen

Actually, you need to stop thinking too much. It's an anime meant for the entertainment of the general, actually a minor section of, the public. Who cares if she doesn't improve? She's a minor character in a series revolving around a character called Ichigo who obviously has some hidden talent which is why the evil super villian Aizen wants him alive even after he almost destroys the real karakura in the shinig@mi world. Damn the irony.

Her "improvement" is the power of screaming Ichigo's name. Turns out its enough for Ichigo to turn into beserk mode. Just like Sakura screaming out Naruto's name.
