Is There Animosity Between Gunslingers and Brawlers?

Or between Marauders and Outlaws? Or between Corsairs and Buccaneers? I ask this because this level 40 Gunslinger began asking me questions about "which class was better." A Buccaneer jumps in, and starts "talking trash" about Corsairs, saying the only reason anyone would play them is because they have a high DPM. I was on my Outlaw at the time, and I was curious as to why he would support such an erroneous statement; it all depends on what you enjoy. It depends on if you enjoy fighting from a distance, or up close; it depends on if you prefer high damage per minute, or if you enjoy buffs. Is there some sort of class war? I'm asking out of curiosity, and yes, I did tell this story so I could vent.

There is some dispute between it I guess...hard to say though. It's rather based off of preference and well...Buccaneers and Corsairs often have their differences in their abilities disputed upon and there's plenty of debate that goes around about each. I have one of each and both have their own flavors and distastes... but the sort of "which is better" question is better off left to the player to judge him/herself.

I don't think so. I have at least 5 slinger/outlaw/corsair friends. One of them has been my best friend since like... lvl 40. HOWEVER... Buccs and TB's are a whole other story...

No not really :x... because our playing styles are so different where Sairs are most likely to pin something like anego from far away and kill bosses like zak, compared to buccs, who play with such control and go wild on those BF's and whatnot, i dont think there is any dispute with Buccs and Sairs. we're buddiez <3

I don't think so, the playing style is so different. I don't think I've ever heard of animosity between Bandits/Assassins. Now Bowmasters and Marksmen, that's another story...

First off, love your vocabulary. Secondly, I personally think Buccaneers tend to be ruder than most Corsairs I know. You probably think I'm biased, but I kept the same mindset when I was transitioning from my Bishop to my Corsair.

There's no real animousity IMO between any class. It's mainly just haters, people that are insecure about their own class, and people who just go around thinking the sun shines down on 'em brighter than anyone else that says that kinda crap. xD

I haven't met very many rude Buccaneers/Marauders/Brawlers, so I was surprised at his vitriol (extensive vocabulary FTW). XFScola - LOL iSmashBugs and EpicAran - That's what I've always thought. It seems to me that Brawlers/Marauders/Buccaneers seem to think that TBs have it way too easy. calabari - You should have been there, bro. I was like, "Whoa," and he was like, "Whoa!" and I was like " . . . whoa."

I don't think there's an animosity between slingers and brawlers persay. It's more along the lines of a tense atmosphere between the two people playing. As cliche as it sounds, it really is dependent upon the two people. Of course there's going to be a few initial stereotypes and whatnot, but people generally get past that pretty quickly.
