Am I the only basiler who doesn't like Anime?

I mean, I've seen 1 or two good ones, but in general Anime tends to just be a plot where writers take some characters archetypes, give then some strange hairstyle/color, and throw them into some typical challenges where the main protagonists will win in the end and everyone is happy. If it's not that, I would still bet money that I could predict most of the plot less than halfway through the series. Not only that, but 9/10 times the style is unbearable, I mean seriously it's creepy seeing someone who has extremely reflective dinner plate-sized eyes and a head wiser than their shoulders. I dislike having to watch it in Japanese with English subs, but them dubs have terrible voive acting. So am I just like an exception to the majority or what?

I like anime but I agree with you. There are some terrible anime shows out there. I also dont like it when they have the typical glassy eyed enormous head BS animation.

my main problem with anime is i enjoy performances. voice actors can only do so much to convey complex emotions, and, for the most part, the animations don't do it realistically. really, it's a problem with all animation, though i enjoy some western animation, like archer.

Death Note, Code Geass, Full metal Alchemist, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Elfen Lied, D Gray Man. If you gave those all a chance, I'm sure you'd enjoy at least a few.
