| The universe is run in a way that the exact same cause will always have the exact same reaction. This rules out randomness. Each extremely small detail in an extremely small point of time will advance in a certain way. Do this trillions of trillions of times and you will have predicted a moment in time without flaw. Of course, keep doing that forever and ever and you have the entire future predicted. If the entire future can be predicted, we do not truthfully have choice. Our "choices" are already set in stone. Before people comment on this: i know a human couldnt ever do this to predict the future. Just because we cant doesnt stop the system from working. Edit: In the case of randomness existing- randomness by definition cant be influenced by will. You cannot choose a path in randomness. When an event without randomness is occuring, my original logic applies. |

|
TheLastSamurai : But what about the Big Bang? That was the crown jewel of randomness!
There is something we do not understand about the big bang which is keeping us from explaining it. That does not mean the big bang has randomness. |

| Sadly, that isn't true. You say that the same cause will have the same reaction/effect. Say, a young boy who always behaved correctly died, his family would weep. But, if we reverse the boy's behavior, you won't know the result since the variable is actually his family. They could either weep for him or not care. |

| lol i bet you're one of those obnoxious people who believes in fate. there are certain laws that will always be played out but the way you're saying things, if i were to see a tennis ball on the ground and walk over to pick it up, because i decided to pick it up i would have had no other option to do so. learn a bit more about the human brain before you make these nonsensical rants |

He's essentially saying that anything that happens is happening for a reason. Everything's already decided. |
