Do the owl feathers themselves do anything?

I "used" two or three of them but they were all ineffective. However, I did get a blade scroll from the sealed box, so...

SAVE THEM. Cassandra is a scammer, haha. No, seriously. If you save the feathers until the 14th (or I guess 30th), you can open them like boxes and they'll rewards. Some say they have blades, but I don't know for sure. But save them! Cassandra gives you NOTHING.
