Hey guys. I was wondering since we have the revamp coming (I understand that it's still a long way away) and our skills are being boosted quite a bit. Would going Heaven's Hammer first have any perks in comparison to other possible builds? I've read that it allows you to train at ToT a little earlier with more chances of finding PoT's instead of training at Skeles. Is this the only advantage it has? I'm not very fond of bossing, so I would want to go for the build that allows training to be the best it could. If there are any recommendations as to what build I could go for, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for reading.

It's going to be a long while before any of the KMST updates arrive in GMS. Not only that, everything seems like it's still in the process of being tweaked, so no one is sure what the final skills will be at this time. As of now, I believe the new HH has a cooldown of 40 seconds in KMST. When compared to the current version at 20 seconds in GMS, it doesn't seem too favourable for training. However, another thing to take into consideration is that monsters are also being buffed up, so 40 second HH may even be worthwhile at that point. Factor in your own training pace as well as personal preference and the whole thing becomes something with too many variables. Personally, I wouldn't worry about something that seems so far away. Either way, you will be maxing ACB first, and with the new dual charging, I don't believe there's much of a difference in training speed at Skeles versus Obliv4. You actually probably end up levelling faster through 12x with Holy/ACB at Skeles when compared to initially going HH first because you have to both get though the ToT quests to open up the Guardian maps at the end, and build up your HH along the way. Overall, HH is most useful at lower levels, and becomes less and less effective as you become stronger. If your first concern is money, definitely farm those time pieces. It's a great cash bank. xD

I suppose which ever build I go I'd rather be at ToT to try get some time pieces.

Personally, I have max hammer already. So intend to stick with OB4 just for the PoT farming. Im not sure the diff in exp for the 2 places will be post patch but IcedCap is right (as she always is, gratz on 200 btw ^^)

I"m getting same %/hour from Oblivion 4 and skeles at level 148. I'd say go HH if you want to farm for pieces while leveling at oblivion 4 because it is quicker at lower levels. You can just slowly finish all your TT quests and if needed, you can train at Road of Regrets for exp + time pieces. Since fire charge deals almost the same damage as holy charge and Road of Regrets Guardians give around same exp as Skeles, I suggest you choose leveing + farming for $$. Holy charge is pretty useless if you're not skeles training anyways.

Get Heaven's Hammer. 20m means you don't have a lot to go with, so just get HH to do Ob4. At my level I can break even on pot money with just the mesos dropped from monsters alone. Since Ob4 only requires you to have Rush and HH, it's rather easy to get max exp from there solo-ing. Meaning regardless of how strong your gear is, Ob4 will always yield you meso profits; even if no PoT's drop for you. Btw just a heads up on the Revamp, KMS is already getting it in a few more days. We (GMS) will probably get the patch around or after christmas, so lvl to 153 before then if you can. (Skele is going to be lvl 150 and 153 and since you miss a lot at even 1 lvl below them, you should get lvling.)

IceBrightNo, you only need level 1 rush until all your other skills are maxed. Max rush only slightly improves damage and range.

First and foremost, is that you should not plan for the future update and work around that. Unlike the last balance patch, this one we are getting an SP reset to reset all our skills - so your only hurting yourself by making adjustments for a future update that we probably won't get for at least 6 months. However, Heaven's hammer build isn't horrible even today, so if you want to do it, you can. Some people go 1 rush -> acb -> heavens hammer which is more doable today then it was pre balance patch. This is because holy does 150% and fire does 140% now, compared to when it was 140:120 respectively. I personally like 1 rush > max acb > max holy/divine > max heaven's hammer best, but I know some want to dive into heaven's hammer right away. My reasoning for not doing this is that heaven's hammer doesn't become that useful while training until it is at max level or near max level (26 sp is when its every one minute). With holy charge, you can train at skele's for quite a while, and you get a lot more BFYB (Bang for your buck) with holy charge in my opinion, a skill will you notice with maybe 10sp. Makes training a lot easier from 123- 133, although HH training at obliv 4 is probably better once you get max HH. But I'd rather breeze through those levels than go through hell with them. Thats all opinionated, i tend to ramble... apologies... In short get holy before HH, in my opinion its up to you though. But don't worry about the KMS patch, you will get a chance to reset your skills.

123-133 isn't hell at all. Thunder+fire charge at road of regrets 5 is 17%/h (probably more since that was before the balance patch with only thunder charge).

[/quote] Only reason I considered it hell was due to my personal experience, where I didn't get acb until 129, so that may be a reason why I didn't like it. After I got it though it wasn't too bad your right. I guess I got spoiled from all the new toons I made.

i went HH first and i would have went holy, even as for now, lvl 149, i have no plans on getting holy at all, the only reason for me to get holy would be to go skelegon, but i personnaly think that OB4 is same or better exp, and on top of that I make HUGE amount of money there, on yellonde Piece of Time are around 7-8m and I drop 1-2 an hr on 1x if u add all the other drops, its a real money making going there, I think i made well over 2b from lvl 120-149, if i had went skele, i probly would have done way less then 500m imo...

This is going to sound like some infomercial, but I was dirt poor before Temple of Time. Then it came out and I already had maxed HH and it was a godsend in terms of new training places and meso-making. Because of it, the only choice I truly regret making is getting Holy at all. Skeles are fun and all and got me from 120-145 but after experiencing Oblivion 4, it's hard to go back.
