AMD Phenom processors suck. They overheat and make you pay more for electricity when your pc is idle. You should of gotten the i7 or waited for the new i9 that will come out in couple months. And the Graphic card, Will only last 1 year you being able to play hard core games at max. So not that great unless you OC it.And 8Gig ram would be good. xP

Don't much like the screen, but then again I really hate 16:9 resolutions (1920x1200ftw!) Seeing as how you're in AUS I can't say much about the prices, but where I live you could get an I7 system for about the same. Also, a 5770 is good if all you're doing is playing maplestory, but trust me, it is lacking for any newer game, so unless you're going to buy 2 and xfire them, I'd suggest getting something better, if you're doing more than playing maple. Also, spend a bit more on the PSU, cheap ones are cheap, and die easily. edit: and there is no point in getting ultimate, overpriced... although i would suggest pro instead of home premium

Amd goes really bad after a while and gigabyte isnt that good imo i have a asus board runs like a beauty and it runs quietly and its fast i have a intel Q6600 quad core

Ye, go with asus or intell. AMD = crap, But i mean , The Pc isnt all that bad. You know you can still play decent games at max graphics with good fps.

I would pitch in for a better graphics card, better CPU (AT LEAST an i3 or i5, better off with an i7 if you can cool it down properly because i heard they tend to over heat fast, dont quote me on that though) and 8GB on the memory. and yes, ASUS would be better than AMD any day imo.

AMD is cheaper than Intel, but Intel is better in the long run. Btw. what are you going to do on the computer? Because it's way OP for maple. Your CPU will also be a bottleneck if you get 8 gig of ram, or else you must REALLY love multitasking. I'm just saying.

Don't bandwagon, expecially when you have not a clue what you are talking about. AMD are (or currently, were) much better for price:performance, and telling him to go with asus OR intel? ASUS is a computer periferals company (motherboards, gpu's, etc) while intel is a company that makes processors. Telling him to go with one of them makes no sense whatsoever, as they specialize in completely different components. [/quote] I7's run quite nicely with the stock cooler, if not overclocking. And again, asus= periferals, AMD=GPU's and Processors. ASUS is actually a reseller of AMD GPU's...

Is 6-8 gigs of ram really necessary? The graphics card is the only one worth it's price, the rest are way overpriced just for a graphics card. I"ll look into the i7's and see what they have to offer. I'd like some more opinons

The best performance:price GPU out there right now would be the 5850 right now, or 2 5770's in crossfire. For i7, get a 920 or a 930, or go with an i5 instead. ASUS and Gigabyte are both great motherboard companies, so get one that you like the looks/price of.

Right now I would suggest getting AMD 1090T X6 890GX board (gigabyte would probably be best) 4GB DDR3 PC-12800 or PC-10600 as anything higher is a waste However, I am not sure if Aust has the Phenom x6 yet so otherwise grab i5 750 P55 mobo (Gigabyte again or Asus/eVGA) 4GB DDR3 PC-12800 as that is the sweet spot
