The Netherlands just won from Brasil (2-1) I am sooo happy :D finally Brasil is defeated.! (discuss)

The first goal was what triggered the second goal. If the first goal didn't occur, their morality would still have been down and they wouldn't have made such a goal like the second goal. yea, a very low number of people rooted for holland from the beginning (at least from what i've seen, correct me if i'm wrong). now, there's a sudden increase in dutch supporters. bandwagon much?

Brazil was the better team in the first half, but in the second half the dutch were better. But i think holland deserved it, brazil wasnt playing very fair throughout the whole game, especially the second half.

I play a game called Crossfire and there was an event going on. You pick a team in the world cup and depending on how far they get, you (the player) gets ingame money. Basically, its like horse race betting. There are different contenders and you pick the one that you think or want to win. I spent 2000 ZP and got like 1500 ZP back.. Anyway, I thought Brazil was the better team and they started the match very strong. Apparently, the Netherlands came back.. :

They were looking for teammates to play the ball to all the time. Call it luck, call it skill; The Netherlands won.

Both teams are good teams so bandwagonning is unclear as both teams are some of the best teams at the game of soccer. One could bandwagon for the Netherlands and one could also bandwagon for Brazil.

[/quote] you can say the same about england v germany; had the ref actually been aware of the fact that the ball crossed the goal line by more than a yard INTO the goal, england could have had a change in their mentality and play and beat germany. but that didn't happen, what can you do? luck is a part of soccer, anything can happen, deal with it.

I've heard of soccer players connecting well on corners, but the setup for Sneijder's header was anything but on purpose. Luck.

You can be the luckiest team ever but without skills you won't win against brazil, and is it really luck? Brazil made a mistake and Holland took advantage of that mistake. Holland is lucky that Brazil made the mistake but is it luck that they took advantage of that mistake? I dont think so, i think it's skill.

I have a little request, guys. A really tiny, nitpicking request. When speaking of the Dutch team please speak of the "Dutch team". Speaking of "the Dutch" is potentially offensive towards people from other countries. ;) Speaking of "Holland" in this case is fine. (because much more clear that you're speaking of the team and not of the country as a whole) I'm Dutch myself, so no hatred. ;) On topic: I wasn't expecting the Dutch team to win, because of the predictions in Jeugdjournaal. XD (sort of "Newsround" for children) I'm not much of a soccer fan, but I heard the results because of all the vuvuzelas in my neighbourhood.
